I'm going to complain some more. What keeps the neutrons etc in a stream? Neutrons etc. move around A LOT. And what could make them loop around a ghost?

actually being able to catch a ghost could be possible one day…
ghosts put off an electromagnetic field, also refered to as EMV, or EMF. So essentialy you could take an opposite magnetic field and harness a ghost with it.
The idea behind ghostbusters acts on the same principles just at different levels.

Ok, Guard. I take it you missed a part of what I wrote. I began stating that if the proton packs were to work with their current design this would be one way (more or less). Never did I state this is how they will work and it's possible to make. And the reason that the particles would go in a stream is because of the speed that they are going (hence the name particle accelerator) and ghosts are made up of electrons which harness a negetive charge. Opposites attract as everyone outside of preschool knows.

And in response to the EMF theory. The only problem with that is what if the ghost only emits it and isn't actually a part of it? Let's say I tried to catch someone by grabbing the heat the give off. It wouldn't work. So to prove that theory, you would first need to prove that ghosts in fact ‘live’ with the EMF as part of them, not a byproduct.

Another thing, I have ideas for equipment that would easily work, if the entire ghost+EMF= one thing theory proves right. If you'd like, I could talk with you about it outside of the forum.

Well if spooks highly disturb the EFM in our atmosphere (harmless you us) , if we could build a unit that will re-stablize ony the a section of it - the ghost would be “trapped”? it makes some sense. funny, about the nulear pack, imagine how heavy it really would be! lol

First of all, I do not believe in ghosts…well, I believe in a different definition of ghosts but not the popular definition.
Even if we had the ability to catch ghosts, what would we do with a caught ghost?

we'd do with a spectral anomaly what we'd do with anything else… we'd study it.
Personally speaking, I'd love to be given the chance to actually study something from the “other side”.
