Now this is a highly underrated comedy-action flick with an interesting concept about a movie within a movie about being in a movie just like “Pleasantville” except not on TV. This movie did bad at the box-office the first week of June 1993 and i was 12 that year as i saw it in a theater and i loved it, i don't get why it did bad at the box-office and with critics? it did became a cult hit on video with an audience who understood it with the concept of a parody of action movies.

A watchable film.

My favorite scene is along the lines of
“Is there a doctor in the house?”
“Yes”
*Punches him out
“Is there another doctor in the house?”

I remember the line of toys which are very hard to find. I've only seen one in the last 10 years at any toy show. I had the CD single for AC-DC's “Big Gun” from the movie which I got as a freebie at my first comic con.

Lol I actually loved that movie.

I once even used the line on someone

“Why should I bother with you when I could be doing something more dangerous, like rearranging my sock drawers.”

I think my favorite part is when he shoots the closet only to have a dead guy fall out and the Danny is like “How did you know there was a guy in there?” Arnold replies “There is always a guy in there, cost me a fortune in closet doors.”

The movie reminded me a lot of a TV series called Sledge Hammer who used the same kind of jokes.

Last Action Hero is truly a great movie. So many great parts….*sigh* The part where the animated cat shows up and no one thinks it's strange because he was in one of the older films…the part where the bad guy kills that mechanic in the real world and starts shouting about it but no one cares.

It's one of Shwartzenegger's best. The greatest action film. A TRIUMPH of the human spirit. Thank you Jack Slater, for teaching us to laugh at love….again. And now I have commercial sign.

I saw it but I don't think it was that great. It wasn't too realistic when he went into the real world.

What were you expecting?

At least cars didn't blow up when he shot them, and punching a car window hurt.

That Ripper guy was a really good villain.
