Last Game You Finished

I've been gaming since when my dad bought me a Commodore 64 when I turned 6. Now, years and years later, I'm married with 3 kids, have full-time and freelance work, social commitments, and whatever is leftover of my spare time goes into projects, writing a screenplay, and playing video games.

Because of this, I have a “quota” of one game a month, and one movie a week. Sure, laugh if you want, but that's just how I roll, and it somewhat gives me a gauge to go by. (I don't want to look back over the year and realise I haven't finished any games!)

So what I want to know is, what games are everyone playing AND finishing? New or old? Sure you can play a game, but it's another kettle of fish to get to the end of it. Can you stomach it, or not? Was it not all the hype it was?

I have a mate who buys the latest and greatest game, and plays it until the next one comes out. Where's the fun in that? It's like watching the first 10 minutes of a movie, then walking out and jumping into the next cinema to watch that flick. Wha?!

I have recently finished Stranglehold, the John Woo shoot'em-up fest from 2007. It's been sitting in my PC draw for a while until I bought a beastly PC. Was a lot of fun.

Before that was Judge Dredd: Dredd Vs Death… not bad for $5 on Steam. Good shooting fun. I don't dog on the graphics, if it entertains me, I'll play it. Plus I've always liked the character and the gun

Playing F.E.A.R. 2 now on PC, man it's awesome!!

So what game have you finished recently?

BioShock 2 on XBox 360

great game

And, I´m playing CONAN once again, to unlock more achievements.

I´m not a hits hunter, of course I love the ultimate new game released, but there are other threasures at lower costs on the games stores… for example, I bought Conan brand new a few months ago, for about $15 US bucks, and though it´s not the best hack & slash, I got hooked on it for a few weeks (and I realized that those hack and slash games are not my fave genre). I also bought “Frontlines: Fuel of War”, and it´s an awesome war game!! It´s not a Call of Duty, but it´s great… the gameplay is good, the graphics are ok, has a great multiplayer and it was as cheap as the Conan game!! Why spend 100 bucks on a game when you can find great games for less?? I also found “PES 2009” for $13 bucks, brand new!!!

Of course, I love great expensive games like Gears 2, BioShock 2, or Ghostbusters… but as long as the game is good, no matter if it´s a cheap or an expensive one.

Should have started this thread years ago:
In the past 2 months I have played and beaten:

Braid (360)
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom (360)
Battlefield: Bad Comapny 2 (360)
Halo 3: ODST
Mass Effect 2
Aliens vs. Predator
(2010)(360)
Bioshock 2 (360)
and
Darksiders: Wrath of War (360) for the 3rd time.

In between games since Feb, I have been dabbling in Star Trek Online as well but in true MMO fashion there really is not “beating” it per se.

Also have been having friends bug me to re-enter the lands of Azeroth..but I really do not want to.

I can see you have a lot of free time uh?

How about Darksiders? is it a good game?

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. Yes, I'm still running a Gamecube, but…poor student walking.

I work, eat, sleep, or game. Rarely do I get out more than a day a week.

And I thoroughly enjoyed Darksiders…but I love post-apocalyptic stories. I especially love it when those stories use Judeo-Christian themes and imagry.

The game had it's problems (I mean what game doesn't)…if those problems get fixed in a sequel it would be great. It's at least worth a rent.

I loved the TimeSplitter series.

Probably not another game again for awhile since an old monkey on my back has returned:

World of Warcraft

I hate my life
