Camp Blood 2

Just as hilariously bad as the original.

Nightmare on Elm Street
Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge.
Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

Having never actually watched the first film properly I decided to get it setup on my rental list on lovefilm. I enjoyed the first one alot, decent horror film and a great villain.

Then today, the following 2 films arrived. Nightmare 2 was awful, it had very little to link it to the first and it just didn't feel like a horror movie. Nightmare 3 was a good follow up though, it was entertaining and felt closer to the original. Plus it expanded on the characters a little. I was going to check out the rest, but having looked at opinions on the internet, Nightmare and Nightmare 3 are what I'll stick to.

What a coincidence, I watched “Groundhog Day” last night. It never gets old.

Yesterday watched, for very first time, Blues Brothers 2000, and I knew I shouldn´t watch it… found it totally dissapointing… not a big fan of John Belushi, but it´s clear that the Blues Brothers died with him. Dan Aykroyd made a great effort trying to get the magic back on this movie, but the script didn´t help. And WTF with the ending of the movie… I was expecting for the great finale… but I felt it incompleted… totally dissapointed.

I love the first movie, but sadly, BB2000, doesn´t worth the watching.

BB2000 is like a guilty pleasure. It's obviously not a classic like the original, but for some reason I still have to watch if I find it on TV.

Recently watched American: The Bill Hicks Story. A great documentary on one of the greatest comedians of the last fifty years. Sadly he never saw the height of fame that he deserved, but left a hell of a legacy.

New Nightmare is worth your time. IMO it's the best sequel.

Last watched Laid To Rest. Pretty good slasher movie and gory as Hell to boot.

Didn't really like New Nightmare that much.

Super 8. Okay film, ending and was meh though compared to all the drama and stuff that happened in the film, the ending felt stiffed. It was better than I expected though, trailers made it look weird.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

I just saw this one, as well. As a big fan of the original series, I was very pleasantly surprised. ‘Rise’ was a great film. My only complaint being the forced references. The “damn dirty ape” quote in particular made me cringe…

I found it strange that there were so many references to the original film when Rise is more of a remake of the fourth film, Conquest.
