I just saw this one, as well. As a big fan of the original series, I was very pleasantly surprised. ‘Rise’ was a great film. My only complaint being the forced references. The “damn dirty ape” quote in particular made me cringe…

I found it strange that there were so many references to the original film when Rise is more of a remake of the fourth film, Conquest.


I've never seen the previous POTA movies but I enjoyed this one a lot. Made me want to see the originals.

Last watched Final Destination 5. I enjoyed it as much as the others.

Whoa dude. You need to get to that. They're all pretty good except for the second film, Beneath.

Beneath seemed better than “Escape from”.

I really enjoy Escape. It starts off on a bit of a silly tone, but the last half is fantastic. After the original my two favorites are Escape and Conquest.

The spiritual aspect of Beneath put me off. Also the fact that they tried so very hard to basically remake the first film. Even to the point of casting a Heston look alike in the lead.

I'll try to watch all of the POTA films when I can.

I last watched Phantasm II. My absolute favorite of the series and my personal favorite Horror movie. Seen it literally endless times and it's always a blast.

Not the best Marvel movie lately, but it´s good. Waiting for the “big event” on May 2012.
