Playing Spider-Man 3 for XBOX 360

I played it on PS2 when it first came out, my one day 6 yr old brother in law and I beat it in one evening.

But I decided to rent it again just to see if there were any differences and there are. It seems like they are almost different games with just a bunch of similaraties. I'm actually enjoying this one a whole lot better, although it makes me angry.

When the next-gen systems came out I hated the fact that games that were on old systems and new systems were so completely different. I mean Yeah graphically and other certain aspects should be different otherwise what's the point of getting a new system. But it's unfair to those who can't afford the newer systems. I mean I didn't get a wii and 360 untill November, and I almost hated playing games because I just knew I was getting jipped, anyways didn't mean to rample.

I give the game probably a 7 outta 10, the only thing I don't really like is the web slinging because it always seems like I'm just going outta control the whole time lol.

I always just beat TMNT for the 360 not really a fun game, just kinda plain and boring 5 outta 10.

XBOX 360 - Conan:

Not really a great game, actually it's pretty boring. It's just a hack-n-slash that's poorly controlled. They did try a little though I think, it just didn't work out. You can pick up a bunch of different weapons throughout the game, either off of dead or alive enemies, or laid out for you, or off of a weapon rack.

There's also different types, such as: Conan's regular sword he's equipped with the whole game that you'll rarely use, there's also one-handed swords that you can either carry two at a time, or one and a shield, there's also a one-handed axe that is used the same way as the one-handed sword, you can use two axes or a sword and axe or a axe and shield, there are some lance type weapons too many different variations of this weapon to list, there are also two-handed swords that are variously shaped, then there are some grabs that are mostly just slams although you can through enemies off of cliffs, or onto spikes to impale them.

You can upgrade via red runes like in DMC, Onimusha, GoW, type style you get the drift. These upgrades are for new moves and combos, unfortunatly you can't upgrade weapons or armor, most upgrades are highly overpriced I did come close to getting all of them though only 2 away.

You also get some magic, although it's nothing to be wowed at. Actually I don't even get it really. Conan has always been a hater of magic movies, and game alike. He even expresses his hatred for all magic throughout the game multiple times, yet he uses multiple magic, maybe that's why it's pretty useless. Conan opens up an ancient evil by accident, and his armor is used by this evil to create huge monsters. Everytime he destroys a boss he gets a piece of armor back and a new magic skill as well. So even though he doesn't like magic he takes it they say even though he doesn't like it because it makes him stronger, lol.

So his magic skills are: He gets a meter called the song of death that after you build up with getting consecutive hits, without being hit, and when you build it up his sword starts glowing red, and becomes more powerful for a short time, which is actually a pretty hard feat to do, especially when it is constantly dropping, so when you don't have any enemies around, which isn't usually enough to build it up to begin with, you gotta run all the way to the next section and by then it's been depleted, plus when you get hit it depletes it so much that even at almost a full gauge two maybe three hits and your gauge is gone.

Now your actual magic magic, you get four kinds and you have a magic bar, you start off with three bars and if you get all power-ups you extend it to eight. Also your magic takes up so many bars that if you don't gather the power-ups there's no way your gonna be able to do much, which I'll explain later, but even when you get your new magic skill it doesn't extend the gauge. Also you gotta collect blue runes to fill the gauge and unless you break the special blue rune holding container, it's quite hard to refill, so you can't use it the way you need to.

The first skill is like the medusa skill from GoW, you send a beam that turns your enemies into stone for a short time, this skill takes up 1 1/2 bars.

Second is kinda neat, you get fire rain, this skill is exactly how it sounds. You send fire rain dropping from the sky and you have to stand in your security zone to prevent being hit. The only bummer is enemies can attack you while your standing in it, knocking you out. This skill tkaes up 3 bars per use.

Third is this bat call thing, pretty much like the demon summoning skill from GoW. You call hundreds of bats to go and attack your enemies, but the bats don't do much damage, and it doesn't last very long. This skill takes about 4 bars.

Fourth is the best and most powerful skill but you cant really use it unfortunatly. You get it on the last or second to last stage. Anyways, it's called the Void Armor power. You open up a big rift or void of darkness between realms and time that sucks in your enemies killing them instantly. This skill takes up about 5 bars, it's quite powerful, and useful, but it uses up so much magic and you never are surrounded by enough enemies that you have to use it, so it's pretty pointless.

The game's attempt at upgrades are pointless. Because there's so many different weapon styles, and upgradable combos, that you can't really memorize all of them b/c there's probably over 30 combos you can unlock. When your switching from standard sword, sword and shield, double weapons, grapples, and two-handed weapons, each with over 15 combos easily, I ended up pretty much using XXXX and YYYY. Grapples are pointless because most enemies just end up blocking them and reversing.

The game got boring fast, you face the same enemies the whole game just different outfits, literally, you never really get to use your magic when you need to which is quite often. Because there are quite a few enemies that can hit you 10 to 15 times in a row within like 4 or 5 seconds. You can block sometimes, but not often, and you can't stop thier attacks with your hits you half the time you just gotta sit there and take repeated beatings. Which is why there's probably almost full health refills around around corner and bend. The magic helps but like I said you cant fill it enough, and it takes too much to use. Also the loading times suck and it does it everytime you even die.

The only good things about the game are the gore, nudity, and time. The game is pretty much just a cheap rip-off God of War wannabe, it does have tons of gore and dismemberments for those of you that want it. There is lots of nudity, quite often through out the game you save topless women, which give you lots of red orbs, there's also some topless cut scenes. The game is also really short it took me actually less than 10 hours to beat it, which is good for those of you that doesn't have time to play long RPGs like I enjoy. So if you want a quick and cheap 400-500 achievement points, this game is right. You can get more but you'll easily reach this mark.

I give this game an overall 5 outta 10 rating, it probably deserves a 4 but maybe I'm being too harsh.

I was just wondering for those of you that care. The past few months in this topic, I've been trying to do more than just list the game. When I started this topic, to see what types of games everyone enjoys, I also hoped that people would put down reviews of the games they were playing. However I never posted that, nor did I do that untill just not too long ago. I didn't really start it off very well, but I've been trying to get better in my reviews.

So what I'm trying to get at here I guess is this. Do anyone of you really care about my reviews?

I've been trying to get more in-depth with my reviews, I'd like to start making them all like the one I just made. Since I have tons of time on my hands, I'd like to post a new review once or twice every week or two.

I love video games, and I like informing you all of what I play and think of games to hopefully help you make more informed decisions, and maybe stop you from buying a game, that you should rent first, because one thing I hate is buying a game because it looks and sounds great. I bought NFL Tour when it came out b/c I loved the street games and I was severely disappointed, and wasted my money.

Now I don't mind writing reviews, actually I enjoy it quite greatly, I could talk about games all day. However if you dont really care too much about them, which is quite fine with me, I just don't wanna waste too much time, and I can go back to just listing my games and a quick sentence or two.

So let me know if any of you would like me to keep writing my reviews. Also to those of you who have the time, I would really like for you to write some reviews. Alright later guys and gals.

Nintendo Wii:

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles -

Pretty cool game actually, it's a lot of fun, and hard. I've been playing it with the Wii Zapper which only makes it better. The game runs through pretty much like the arcade shooter games do, like House of Dead, etc.

The games moves for you throughout the stages, and you blast away the zombies and various creatures such as: dogs, huge bats, these leeches that glue together and form zombies, gorillas, scorpions. The variety of enemies is actually pretty good, and they survive a lot more abuse because you actually have to aim for thier heads. So whenever you see on Zombie flicks you think how can they miss thier head so many times, it's easy. Well this game shows you how you can miss. Aiming for the head while your running around is kinda difficult.

There are some decent options you have while fighting. You don't get to hold onto your herbs and stuff like that and use them when needed. So when you find an herb you gotta use it immediatly, which takes good timing because more often than not you don't need it right away, but you cant wait too late b/c then you miss it. You do however get one health item you can hold onto, the first aid spray. When you die if you have one in stock it refills your health completly. The only bad thing about items and ammo and stuff is you gotta blow stuff up to find them, which can be difficult aiming exactly right then hitting another button to pick them up while trying to fight off bats and leeches and zombies.

So the games moves for you but you do still have some say so occasionally on the route you take. You can shoot certain doors and open up paths, when one comes available you just hit A or Z. Going down certain paths can help or harm. You can find new archived info, or grenades, or health that you'd miss otherwise, or there's nothing to gain but more enemies waiting to drop your health. There's no save points just an occasional checkpoint, so if you die you gotta start the stage all over again.

The game takes place during previous ones. You play someone I'm not sure of the name yet b/c I'm not far enough yet, but they're on the archive PC at Umbrella and it's taking you through all the previous events hence the Umbrella Chronicles. It reveals a whole lot more info about the previous games, and the Umbrella Corp. So for those of you that, like the Resident Evil Series here's a chance to gather up some info that you might have always wanted to know. Plus it's a great chance to relive the old shooter arcade games which I love. This is a great game, and the Wii Zapper makes it even more fun. I give this game a 7/8 outta 10 rating.

XBOX 360-

The Club: This won't be a long review because quite frankly I think this game sucks. I don't understand the point of it, you just run through the same stage 6 times in a row and see how fast and how many guys you can kill to keep your combo meter running. The aiming sucks, there is no story to it, which to me thats the most important thing in a game. People may like the multiplayer, b/c it appears thats what it was mainly made for, but I dont like it. There's an article in the new EGM with one of the people who made GTA4 and was asked why there is no multiplayer. He said he didn't see the point in putting 30 people in a stage to kill each other. I love that saying because I had never understood the craze with this multiplayer crap. I miss all the old 1 player games..but I'm not gonna get into that here. I hate this game but the graphics are good which for some people will get them by. I give the game a 5 outta 10 rating.

SpaceStationSim; FireProWrestling: the return.

SpaceStation is not bad and easy. What's sad is that you don't construct the station, you only select the new parts you want. Another thing is that there's only one mission, so, when you finish your station, or you make a new one or you continu with the same.

ProWrestling is like an old game but with all the moves that today's wrestling games can have. But you cannot hold your opponent before making a move, it's the first person who reach the opponent and press the button first that will succeed. But it's a “ok” game.
