Well, well, it's been a long time since my last visit… holy moly, cool news

Just a question:

Is it known, when exactly the first comic will be published? Because it is nearly winter… (*_*)

And will it be shipped to Europe??

well according to the 88 MPH Studios website they will advertise the Ghostbusters comic in the December issue of Previews

They also say that Issue 1 will be out in February (just around the time of Valentine's day lol).

I wish that “fall” for 88MPH wasn't February (when it's actually Winter month #6 for Canada )

Anyways that's it for me…I'm prolly going to be picking up a new Ecto 1 model so check in the other section or my website (check my profile, I'll update my site on there) for more information.

Well I'm sure there's a bunch of us whom are willing to act sort of as a hub for those of you overseas ghostheads. By this I mean that we wil order teh comic/buy it for you, and you send us the money and we'll send the comic over there (using protective methods so that your comic gets to you safely.)

There's an online store located, I'm guessing, in New York because of the domain name, but you will be able to order through them I think, the url is:
http://www.midtowncomics.com

Also, it will be available to the US and Canada (there's no way a Canadian company would leave out Canada ).

But anyways, there's more then one way to get your hands on this hot item, , so don't be glum, I'm always welcome to help out the UK Ghostheads so if you wanna message me on here (PM), we'll set something

Anyways I have to go somewhere right now, I'll check back later to see whats up.

Later,

Since there hasn't been any big developments since the Newsarama article, I thought I'd post a little update on the comic I found over at Andrew Dabb's website (GB comic writer) for those of you who don't ever venture in that area of the web.

Andrew Dabb
I have now seen all 22 pencilled pages for GHOSTBUSTERS #1. They are f*cking amazing.

I don't say that lightly. Believe me if I didn't like them I'd say so–well, okay, I wouldn't say so. I wouldn't say much of anything. But I do like them. In fact, I can't stop smiling I like them so much.

Coming off GI JOE and MICRONAUTS I knew Steve could handle the action parts of the script–the busting–my concern was he wouldn't draw the characters “acting” as well as the script required.

An aside: When I say “acting” I mean things like facial expressions, side-long glances, etc… Basically the characters reacting to the dialogue. A lot of artists in comics right now aren't great at this, they either only draw 3 faces (happy, sad and angry) or they make every eyebrow arch so exaggerated it undermines the dialogue (my dialogue! my precious dialogue!!…sorry).

Back. “Acting” is especially important in a book like Ghostbusters where there are dialogue heavy scenes and, often, characters speak ironically. So, since it is so important, and since doing it well is such a rare skill, I was a bit nervous.

Turns out I had no reason to be. The pages came out great, and once they're inked and colored they should be even better.

GHOSTBUSTERS is quickly going from a book I think people will enjoy, to one I think will get them talking (which very few comics do anymore).

And that makes me smile even more.

And I say, February can't come soon enough.

Agreed, the more I hear, the more I want February to come…but then I'd skip through Christmas, New Year's and my Birthday.

Can't wait. (^_^)

I checked the Newarama article out, definately some coon looking stuff. I already talked to the owner of the two major comic shops around here and he is making sure that he will have the comic in stock.

i think i may have to bribe (or lie to) all those nice people in america that are planning to buy the comic and own high quality scanners

not that i would ever do such a thing, i mean c'mon..thats just plain illegal..and naughty …
