Well, if I'm right, some smaller tribes and cultures would drill holes in their head to increase mind power or learning potential.. They feel that a hole would increase oxygen flow to the brain and enable it to work better. If Egon was supposed to be the guy in the group that could read almost any language and held multiple degrees, it's a bit understandable why he'd want to try it.

it couldnt refer to the transformers, cuz thats a diff. studio, right? it could very well be for the gbs, or does 88mph have anything else up their sleave?

I'm thinking they *may* use the Fort ghost as the story for Winston's first night. . .it'd make sense, the story is already there, and it'd fall in the right place because even though WE know Ray and Winston were supposed to be coming back from that bust when the containment unit blew, it's not officially in the movie so could have taken place anytime. It also may be in flashback form, so we may not see Gozer, just Winston reflecting on his first night; either way it's a great way to start the comic, since we never got a full origin story with Winston's first night busting the way we did with the other guys.
