I'm stuck in the library part on the 360 version, I have beaten the Grey Lady and gotten to the cross dimension end part of the level, anyone have good ideas how to get the 2 beasts who seem to kill me all the time when I try to past them or go through the portals

These monsters you're talking about, they the Book Golems? To get past them, you need to wear them down like the one in the Reading Room, and then tear their heads off when they glow. Shock Blasts and Boson Darts work well in breaking them down, then the capture stream to tear the head off.

Yeah it's the annoying Book Golems, I've tried hitting with the Shock blast them a lot of times and does seem to weak them at all. I have the darts and didn't do a whole lot of damage to them either or am I doing something wrong, anyone have good suggestions as to how to beat them?

Try to run around them and use the portals to your advantage, you'll wear them down soon enough so you can then progress to the next area.

I have tried evading the Golems, using the portals and then hitting them with shock blast, but do you have to hit them a lot of times as it doesn't seemt to be doing much damage them or is there some trick to it?

I would rely on Boson Dart myself. Blasting away at it and dodging through portals until I've hit the Golem enough to make the lamp, acting as its head, glow.

What difficulty are you playing it on?

Need your help again as I thnakfully got past the Golems at long last and now at near the top of the stairs, but I can't get the platform down and how do you get the slime tether to pull the platform to you and is the platform in question the one with teh stairs?

Your description is pretty vague, as there's several stages to the staircase and several platforms.


If you're referring to what I think you're to, you can't just directly tether the platform that has the gate, you need to tether one of the nearer platforms, then once you have stepped onto it you can thether the one it is attached to.

However, I don't know for sure if this is what you're talking about.

Right I'm at the last part of the level I hope where you go up a set of stairs and halfway they break off and Egon says you have to pull the ;ortal to you in order to reach it, now is that the platform with the stairs attached to it?

Right. You're not aiming for the portal, you need to connect the platform you're on to the staircase that broke away.

Run some Tether strands from the base of the staircase above you, to the edge of the platform you're on, and that should do the trick.
