I will admit that House is a good show but I still love Simpsons. sure, they've been around for a while but that doesn't make it a bad show.

The quality of the writing has severely decreased in recent years.

The Simpsons has failed to amuse me ever since my balls dropped as well, and for the record, it was a Rastafarian hat. They hired on new writers, and the show was never the same. I'm not sure which season first featured any material from the new writers, but I can pinpoint the exact moment when the show jumped the shark: Maude Flanders' death.

The beginning of the end for me was when Flanders wife was killed off…not that I cared if she was killed of or not, it just seemed like that was the season I began to lose interest

It jumped the shark for me when they aired an episode where Bart put two oranges down his shorts and said they were his swolen testicles.

They hadn't had to resort to something as crude as that until that point, so I guess that was the influence of the new writers.

I've met them several times (having working at their record label) and I had no reason to stick around for the mob.

I have no idea what that might have been like, but i for one am very jealous!
