Lost Boys 2: The Tribe

Yes, they're finally making asequel which starts filming next month. Bad news though. It's a straight to dvd movie apparently revoving around a group of caifornian surfing vampires.

Now I know alot of Ghostheads are also fans of the original lost boys and there is actually a petition against this movie. If you care about this movie you'll sign it.

So anyway, just wanted to hear your love of the original and what you think about this sequel.

By the way, there's a great fan site called “the lost cave”.

I think us ghostheads should unite with the lost boys community to thwart this evil from going ahead!

“Lost Boys” was cool in the past.
But a sequel will just show how dry the movie industry is on their movie ideas.

A sequel! Come on, get a life…. that's worse than the remake of “Porky” or “Back to the futur IV”!

Sounds a lot like Dirty Dancing 2 which seemed to be a straight-to-DVD affair… I don't like Joel's Batman work but he gave us the original Lost Boys and Falling Down. There was always the intention of a sequel but it deserved more then a straight-to-DVD release.

Surfing vampires is more horrible than horror itself! :-)

Apparently Corey Feldman, Corey Haim and Jamie Newlander are all confirmed to be in it.

It's true. Warner bros seems to have had a change of heart and the Coreys are indeed returning along with Jamie Newlander. So both the Frog Bros are coming back along with Sam. Keifer Sutherlands younger half brother is also going to be the head vampire this time around.

Corey Haim also confirms the news on his official website.

I'm too lazy to sign petitions, so I'll just boycott the film by never buying it. Sounds pretty lame, as straight-to-home-video sequels nearly always are.
