could have been a great game too if Majectic had bothered to actually test their game and worked on it for another few months….unfortunately it was shoved off the line and failed to meet expectations so the ending of the story never came…

Not at all true actually.

They gave the development team almost an extra year to finish the game. The real problem was the Unreal Engine. The UE is notorious for not being console friendly, especially on Sony platforms.

Trust me, we were working on BloodRayne 2 at the time. We were caught in the middle of all that drama.

When Majesco had to decide between giving us more time or giving Advent Rising more time, they chose them because our game at least functioned and could be released on time.

hmm..

That is definately interest. I never knew that. Most I was hearing around the “grapevine” so to speak was exactly the opposite…that Majestic wasn't giving the developers enough time.

See, this is why I like talking with people whom actually know what they are talking about…

And now for something completely different….

Say skanker…don't suppose you know / could make a comment on the mechanics of the “boss battles”.

I mean do they function like the normal ghosts only more powerful or are their tricks to defeating them…such as using new equipement you gained at the levels introduction.

A couple of the bosses, Graveyard Golem and Book Golem appear to have a particular trick to defeating them (keen eyed observers will have noticed what it was) or at least taking them down significantly so you can defeat them.

The “Book Golem” I noticed the trick…didn't notice one for the “Graveyard Golem” though; but really I wouldn't really call those “bosses” perse…maybe “minibosses” but not “bosses” (I like quotation marks :-)).

The more I see of the game, the more excited I get to play it.

I still can't shake some level of concern about any game tie-in to a movie, but this looks very, very promising.
