Is it just me, or does it look like the artist is a fan of Japanese comics (manga)? Now b4 ppl jump on me and say I'm complaining, I'm not. I'm just saying it looks Japanese.

Well, I'm looking at my avatar and profile picture now. These are manga drawings.

I am now looking at the wallpaper…

No, I don't see the resemblence. The GB art is very detailed, but it takes after western styles more.

True, but it's less common. And the GB art isn't… shoot, what did Scott McCloud call it? Iconic enough, I guess. Where'd my vocabulary go when I need it?

I'm sure the artist might have been influenced by manga art, but it resembles the art in the newer Marvel comics more. (I suppose you could make a case that they've been influenced by manga…)

I read manga, and I watch anime, and while I love to brag and boast that RGB was highly influinced by the genre I would have to disagree with you on this one…the look as american as Joe.

PS Joe is a friend, we need not ask questions. :d

Perhaps it's the eyes and the coloring. But ya know, not all manga characters are turnip heads.

Yeah, it does not resemble Manga at all. That is a Comic all the way.

The art is very simailar to,and looks like it could very well be that of Carlo Barberi.Carlo, for those of you who don't know, used to be the artist for Impulse which was done by DC Comics.

nah I don't see a resemblence either, I once read somewhere that manga tends to take on a more “simple” drawing form (oi then why is Anime more detailed then Cartoons? ).

88MPH Stuidios has put a lot of detail into these pictures, however, they could dull down the details a bit for the comics so you never know, they could go more towards manga at that point.

I think it would be kind of cool to see my favourite franchise be drawn in a cool form such as manga

(before you all get into an arguement, yes there's a difference between Anime and Cartoon This is not a thread to discuss this so I'm just saying there IS a difference)

So, I'm gonna take off now, take care everyone…
