Alot of people have stated considerating the market place as a gb toy section when its not :-) When some one wants to disscuss rg toys theve seen on ebay, that doesnt belong in the market because no one is selling or buying. This is why I think the ghostbuster Toys need there own section

of course thats just my thought (^_^)

That's a good question, my personal belief is most of these things which involve pointing stuff out, should go in the General forum, anything someone's bidding on, and pointing out, should be in Marketplace.

i also think the MARKETPLACE forum should be SOLELY for items currently up for sale….. not toy threads mentioning ebay auctions that have ALREADY ENDED!!! sheesh….

It falls underboth really, however I look at it like this: Marketplace is for the discussion of sales, trades, and purchases as well as doing that. That would make it fall under it's jurisdiction.

then why aren't all the ‘look what i bought on ebay’ and ‘my recent ebay purchase’ threads moved to MARKETPLACE? i think MARKETPLACE should be ONLY for things currently up for sale. it's the classifieds section to the GBC newspaper…. do you see classified ads for items already sold in your local paper?

No, but do you see Articles about things people recenlty bought in the news paper? No…

actually…. YES! i've seen many newspapers that have had articles about collecting antiques, classic automobiles, etc. in newspapers…. for example, there was recently an article about a local couple bought a nice old framed painting advertised in a local paper, and turned out to be VERY expensive. was said article found in the classifieds? NO, why would it be? just because it was about something someone had purchased doesn't mean it should be in the classifieds.

… so tell me again, why do threads that have NOTHING to do with items currently for sale belong in what is basically the classifieds section of GBC?

Alight, alright, calm it.

Here's my view at present.

Anything actually being offered for sale, either a running eBay auction, a prop, or an advertisment by a member for something up for grabs should be posted in Marketplace due to their selling content.

Anything not advertising something for sale, or with a link to a already ended auction (excluding ones posted in marketplace whent he acution was live) should be posted in the general forum (GB) or Board Talk for none GB stuff…but that's my opinion.

calm it? no one is arguing…. just discussion. why are you mods always so quick to think there is a flame war?

anyway, i (obviously) totally agree with you kingpin…..

GENERAL
This is the General Ghostbusters discussion forum. Feel free to talk about the movies, cartoons, etc.
hmmm… etc= toys, old comics, production material, scripts, magazines….???

MARKETPLACE
Buy! Sell! Buy! Sell! Trade, buy, sell, your GB stuff with other ghostheads
hmmm…. buy, sell, trade…. i sure don't see ‘discussion about items previously purchased….’
