I saw the Dalek bit he did in his monologue the other night…but I really have no interest in seeing Matt Smith. Don't particularly like him to much.

I think Matt is in a similar position to Peter Davison. Taking over after Tennant is a pretty big job.

You're not going to find many people will agree with you… and I say that as someone who has warmed up to Smith's take on the Doctor.

On GB.net, maybe. Now, if we're talking about Gallifrey Base…it's almost unanimously held that Smith is better than Tennant. There was a huge, huge backlash against the “Time Lord Victorious” stuff from the last two specials that I really couldn't comment on, because I haven't seen them yet, but I do know that there are many fans who are glad that the Doctor's left his “messiah” schtick behind him.

Don't blame the Doctor, blame the storywriter. Excluding the “Time Lord victorious” stuff, he was a pretty brilliant Doctor.

Tennant's Doctor was brilliant. So is Smith's. Does everything have to be a competition? Every Doctor is different, and I see comparing them as kind of pointless. Of course you can prefer one to another, but I see saying one is better than another as comparing apples to oranges. Are Sylvester McCoy and Peter Davison's Doctor's different? Of course, but could I say one is better than the other? No. Two completely different portrayals.
