A while back I heard something about a mattel line of back to the future figures. Was this just a rumor, if not is there any news on the subject

I believe they're still trying to lock down the actors' likeness rights.

Last I heard they only had the rights to do Doc & Marty. None of the other characters. And I think it was mentioned over on the Matty forums that they were not going to release a toy DeLorean. So while I would for sure buy a Doc & Marty, it sounds like the varients in that series will out-number the varients we are getting in the GB line.

That's a shame. While I look forward to Doc and Marty, I was more excited for a Biff/Griff/Mad Dog.

Imo, there isn't much need in a Delorean considering how many great ones are already on the market.
