Who's with me on this one? I was thinking for the next Movie Maniacs deluxe box set, Todd McFarlane should do the climax scene from GB with the 4 of them standing in front of the Sumerian temple on top of the Shandor Building. McFarlane would make all them detailed as he usually does with the rest of the movie characters. He was able to make Bruce Campbell, why not the GBs?

It's a great idea, but it's unlikely to happen anytime soon, for reasons similar to why the movie isn't coming together. Everybody has to agree to it.

All the actors have likeness rights for all merchandise - which is why all the RGB characters bear little resemblance to their movie counterparts. In order for McFarlane to make the GBs, they'd all have to consent to the use of thier visages (and it would probably cost McFarlane an arm and a leg in royalties).

As I recall, someone got a reply from McFarlane about this matter and they pretty much summed it up that it's a no go.

Now, a McFarlane RGB line - slightly more niche, but pretty cool too. And none of the hassles.
