You know, thinking on it, the last celebrity death that actually hit me this hard was Steve Irwin.
Likely because that one was so sudden and completely out of the blue as well.
I mean, I had ZERO indication that Michael Jackson was just going to up and die yesterday.

This is so unexpected. I'm shocked and stunned. I cannot believe that Michael Jackson is dead. It just doesn't seem real.
I think that part of the reason why this news is so unbelievable is that over the years he created an almost god like status. He really did seem invincible.
On the other hand he did appear somewhat frail and this combined with the likely stress he was under in relation to his upcoming 50 concerts is probably what killed him. Drugs may have also played a part but I don't want to say they did because it would be wrong to assert such a thing without knowing for sure.
I'm just so upset about this because I've followed and listened to Michael ever since I was a little boy. He was truly a one off.

I didn't believe this was true when I first heard it. My sister told me yesterday when I was leaving work, and I was like yeah right. It was reported just a few minutes ago too, very shocking. RIP.

I found out at work last night. I was doing okay until I started thinking about Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (he was rumored to be involved with the music of the game and it's one of my favorites of all time) and then I could barely keep it together. I guess that's kind of silly of me, but either way, he was a childhood hero and he'll be missed.

Michael wasn't exactly an upstanding character in life..I'm not sure why his death hits so hard. I'm already tired of the media making him a saint, when all they did when he was alive was exploit his sexual misconduct.
I wasn't a fan. I can understand why fans are upset. Everyone else..not sure why you care. People die every day…nicer people.

Michael Jackson was probably my all time favourite singer and entertainer of all time, Thriller, Billie Jean, Man in the mirror and Smooth Criminal are maybe my all time fav songs by him, tbh i think (not on this forum but in genral) some people have been quicvk to judge him in the past for his antics or what not, tbh he lived a life none of us will ever understand or even be able to live hope he finally finds peace.
