This was the most random and upsetting news I have heard in a long time. I was really looking forward to his upcoming comeback. I thought how nice it would be for people to start seeing him once again as the talented performer he is.

We will forever miss Michael Jackson. And I will always wonder what it would have been like to see him preform again.

Just like everyone else, I was quite shocked to hear this news….I actually was watching the coverage on t.v. as he was taken to the hospital, then pronounced dead….Absolutely stunning to lose such a great entertainer such as he was for about 3 decades.

I will forever respect him as an artist, for his music was a big part of my childhood..I grew up listening to his music…

Michael wasn't exactly an upstanding character in life..I'm not sure why his death hits so hard. I'm already tired of the media making him a saint, when all they did when he was alive was exploit his sexual misconduct.

I wasn't a fan. I can understand why fans are upset. Everyone else..not sure why you care. People die every day…nicer people.

I don't mean to be crass, but If you want respect in death, be respectable in life.

Do remember that all of the charges were alleged, and he did get off all counts.

The first instance, the parents took $22 million. If I had kids, no amount of money would ever cover harming my child. The fact that they accepted it was suspicious.

The second instance, the parent/child team had previously gone after other celebrities, like Jay Leno.

I'm not saying the personal life of Michael Jackson wasn't unusual. He was a weird guy and he certainly had some demons, but unless some concrete proof ever materializes, I stick to innocent until proven guilty.

I was never a MJ fan (I liked some of his songs but I'm more into hard rock, rock n' roll, etc.). At the time, I was suspicious of his character when all the stuff was coming out with the kids. Innocent? We don't know. Guilty? We don't know. I'm not one to judge. Only God can do that. As much as we love celebrities, we never truly know the person. We can love their work but we don't know how they are character-wise. I know (in general) some people can separate the entertainer from the person.

Man, some of those parts of the memorial were just hard to watch, especially when his daughter broke down and cried.

Usher was also hard to watch at the end.

I was just informed that a local “rock” station in my area was playing a station identification “bump” yesterday that was their usual announcer guy who said “The only station with the nads to made fun of Michael on his ‘special’ day”

Like mentioned above, I was never a fan…he was never really my kind of music (though I liked the Alien Ant Farm cover of "Smooth Criminal if that counts?).
