Also love how the name patch says ‘Rookie’. We live in an age where you can have 7000 zombies on screen at once but we can't have our own names on the uniforms?

Dude this is freaking awsome !!!!…I really love the Proton pack the first version. The second version kinda has to much stuff placed on the proton gun. I really love the proton beam, it looks very good and very cool.

No, I think that that was a “flubb” in the design. I'm thinking that when the devs had access to the original proton pack props/plans, from the Sony archives, the barrel of the nuetrona wand was extended, and that the it's measurements (length) were based off of that, and in turn, drawn/rendered that way.
