I beleive that Samhaine from the Real Ghostbusters was the most powerful spirit encountered by the Ghostbusters.

He stopped time twice.
He nearly erased slimer.
he commands all ghosts at will.
He transformed the Caontainment unit into his fortress.

oh yeah, Samhaine was the ultimate demon. Too bad he only had two appearances!

i think they didnt believe in the whole “enemy-get-a-way” thing. none of the ghosts made more than 2 appearances on RGB. (based on observation) the Grundle made 2 appearances, but between RGB and EGB.

I think everyone's forgetting how the words “Do NOT OPEN UNTIL DOOOOMMMSSSSDAYYYYY” almost ended the world. Behind that door is an eternity of evil more powerful than anything else.
