Brian, please. You're point has been made, be the bigger man and move on. You have a website, work on it and make it great.

Now, I am friccking fed up of all the arguments and board policits, (and in light of sounding like a spoilt child) I want to talk about Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters related things or non-argument/politic related things.

The arguing's been done to death, it's been months since GBN closed, it's time to put it to rest and move on, let's get talking Ghostbusters.

Ghostheads, ”It is time.” Time for what? To decide. To decide to either stay here or leave. A lot of us (Including myself.) have kept on saying that freedom of speech doesn’t exist on this board. Well it does. You have the freedom to leave. As I said before, I’m not taking sides in this battle, but several members on both sides have made a good point, and I’ve decided to listen: It’s Chad’s site/server, and he had the right to run it however he wants to. If you don’t like how he’s running it, then leave. It’s the smartest and best thing you can do in this whole mess. No one is making or asking you to stay. And no one is making or asking you to go. All you have to do is leave if you’re unhappy. Stop beating a horse that’s already dead. Let it be.

Go wherever you feel best, whether it’s here or GBHQ, or whatever other GB boards there are. Just do what you feel is right. That’s called Freedom.

Now, if you’ll all excuse me, I have a Ghostbusters Revival to get ready for. PM if you’d like to.

I've been done a long time. Take another look at this topic, folks.

Chad took one of my posts from another thread totally out of context, quoted it in this new topic, and basically told me to leave.

In fact, read the old thread: After a long debate, I stated that I was done with this mess, before Chad started it up again. Furthermore, Chad then stated that we should continue the argument in private, so I pm'd him. What a surprise; Three days and no response.

Well, I suppose I can quote myself so you guys don't have to go back and read the whole thing:

You want us to stop complaining? Fine. I'm done.

It's déjà vu all over again.

Honestly, I don't want to get into this…I don't like nor dislike you, Chad–I don't know you–but there is a mistake in your thinking, in my estimation.

It's rather simple…

Furthermore, it has nothing to do with Ghostbusters; the main reason we should all be here in the first place.

That's the common ground. That's not the main reason this part of the great wide community should be a community. Communities are based on interaction, friendships, debate, conversations, and other such things. Ghostbusters is part of it, but to say that is the main reason we should be here is wrong. We should be here because we enjoy the company. Ghostbusters is a common ground for us to meet and build a community that is about more than Ghostbusters.

I've had several friends that I've kept from fandom to fandom, and now they are true friends of mine, and the fandom is meaningless. Two OL friends I have I met on a now defunct FFVII board. They are my friends long after, and we discuss many things that real friends do. This has happened a number of times. One is a person I've met in real life, and when we talk in real life, we talk about as many things as a friend should talk about. That's community.

I don't mean to offend by saying this, but that's just how I feel.

PrincessArtemiss, I respected your work as a writer and an artist long before I actually met you (This is starting to sound a little mushy ain't it?) but you argue a valid point there.

Not quite. We still have a long way to go with re-inventing the franchise. Face it, its entirely up to us to revive Ghostbusters from the grave. Dan Aykroyd tried and is probably still trying, Ramis gave up, and Bill is holding us back. As of now, the fans have become the Ghostbusters franchise. So, let's get this party started. Create fan fics, make props, help all of ur GB themed websites flourish, and above all…never let anything or anyone shake ur spirit. We've only got one shot at this. Chad, I'm with you. Ghostheads, in the famous words of Al Bundy…LET'S ROCK!

This is important. For too long, people in this community have supported only one site out of laziness or “loyalty”. And I'm not just talking about GBN. Get out and regularly visit all the sites you can, Ghostheads. More great sites have been shut down in this community due to lack of traffic than I care to think of.

Here's a hint: If you've never been to Spook Central or Ray's Occult, you either haven't been around that long, or don't visit enough sites. And if you've never been to The Real Ghostbusters Fan Page (Sheila Paulson's site), you definitely don't visit enough sites.

Support the community, not just one site. There are banners at the top of the page for a reason. Use them folks.

Well, I guess my question was directed at the community of ghostbusters.net. It was shut down for a short while, and now it is back.. But it hasn't been updated. The only thing running on the site is this message board (don't get me wrong i really enjoy this message board and i'm not dissin' it in any way). So I was wondering if all other aspects of this web site are back in running order like they were before it was shut down.
