I had some hope when I realized the writer of The Office (my fave tv show ever) will write GB3 plot… I haven´t watched Year One… but I know the results will be very different on Ghostbusters 3.

I still don't know why Aykroyd and Ramis couldn't just write the script. I mean clearly these guys were creative enough to go through pretty much 3 separate adventures of their characters, surely they could write another.

Just sounds asinine to me that they'd outsource the writing to other people.

Unless Year One is based on the Batman graphic novel with the same name I doubt I will bother with it either.

Yeah, its been a year, unless Bill said this like 9 months ago. If he just got to saying this now, well seems like more of a excuse to get out of GB3, which doesn't rate high for reasons to bail out anyways. Yes Year One has been confirmed to be bad, but did it really take him a whole year (year one) to figure this out?! And he didn't even watch it.

Sorry I will not forgive Bill for backing out of this one, and if you wanted this movie, you should be feeling the same. After teasing us in Zombieland like he did, he has no right to back out for such a silly reason.

What happened to the damn, I feel that things are working now, and the wounds from GB2 have healed, and the bs on give the writers a chance…………..


And then all these post saying that if he doesn't want it, then they don't want a third either. You people make me sick, your not fans of Ghostbusters, your fans of Bill Murray. And he ain't that great either thank you very much. Why do we have to have Bill in the third one? WHY? Please tell me why. He was the dead weight in the second one anyways. He ain't funny anymore. I'm sick of always hearing what he has to say. He should take his check and shut up and be happy he was in the first 2 movies. Let Dan and Harold make the third movie without him.

Well, this doesn't surprise me anymore. I think we're all past the point of being shocked if Murray backs out of a third GB film.

I don't get Sony. Why can't they look for writers who did the Real Ghostbusters and see what they can do? JMS alone should be considered. Just cause those writers wrote cartoons doesn't mean that they can't even concock a story or plot at least. Maybe Dan & Harold could put their touch after it? But again we've heard nothing on the progress of the script/2nd draft from the office guys. May has passed. Has Sony reconsidered or still wants more treatments? Dan and Harold have said nothing lately either.

Amen, I applaud this post. I to shit a brick watching Zombieland (was for my birthday to) and was like “Oh hell, he is coming around to GB3” and now no. F Bill, really Sony should take this over and take him off the project, even if he has shares in it and let Aykroyd write it full out and do it.

Last time Dan wrote GBIII, where they go to hell, was that not dropped as well.

I think you need a good team of writers working together like J. Michael Straczynski, Neil Gaiman, Dan & Harold.
