Murray Not Speaking to Ramis

I don't know if this has been discuss but I read this article about Groundhog Day:

It seems that Bill Murray and Harold Ramis haven't really talked in 11 years after the finishing of Groundhog Day. Murray and Ramis had a falling out because Murray wanted the film to be more philosophical while Ramis had to remind him it was comedy. Because of this Murray was in a bad mood throughout production often being late on the set. After production wrapped Murray went home and hasn't spoken to Ramis since then.

I think this is probably one of the reasons (hopefully not) why Bill's involvement in GB III is sketchy. Personally I love Groundhog Day, its one of my favorite movies and I think it works because its half comedy and half serious.

Murray is talented and funny. But difficult.
He is, after all, the one who complained the most about the weight of the proton pack during the first movie

Good point, but you have to remember that just because they did the game together doesn't mean they were at the same recording studio at the same time.

This is very well known and happened a long long time ago. Reportedly, they've both spoken at least once or twice (I think) since the game, and are willing to put aside their differences to do a 3rd movie.

At the time of Groundhog Day, Bill Murray was getting divorced from his first wife which is why he was a little moody during the filming. Harold Ramis however said that his personal issues off the set did not effect their friendship. Also despite of their artistic differences they still respected each others different tastes.

Yeah I met Ernie Hudson in ‘08 and someone asked about the video game, he said the four of them couldn’t re-unite for the games voice recordings. They all had to do it seperately due to all their shedules.
