I heard that on 07/28/05 that Bill murray was on letterman and the subject of Ghostbusters was brought up and murray said that it was likely to happen. Can any one back this up?

Sry, I don't know anything about this, I only watch Conan O'Brien (which IMO is vastly better anyways).

i've only found a clip fom his appearance at the letterman show where he speaks about katie holmes (very funny anyway)…but nothing about this…actually, i think that if he had said something regarding gb3, we would have known already…

can't confirm anything about the letterman show, but murray DID agree to do GB3 back in the late 90s.

If someone has RealMedia/RealPlayer/RealAnnoying installed they can view the clip here and confirm it with us, or possibly grab it and convert it for us to watch.

Universal came sooooo close to making GB III awhile back, here's what happened… the studio had Dan Ackroid and Harold Ramis write TWO scripts… One for GBIII and one for Blues Brothers II, they had EVERYONE from the first two GB movies signed on and ready to go, they also had the Blues Brothers cast as well. It came right down to the line and the studio said they would make one movie out of the two… We all know what happened there… (sigh) It was a sad day for us GB fans… a VERY sad day… Still, I hope that someday soon the studio will realize what a grief mistake they've made and WISE UP!
