i dab in a little bit of everything, and i know thats a cliche phrase, but still. well im a 50s rock and roll/doo wop and 70s Punk kind of guy, but i dabble in a every decade a bit, im a fan of good songwriting mostly. but my favorite musician and songwriter of all time is Elvis Costello and favorite bands being Madness and Oingo Boingo ( and anything else Danny Elfman puts out).

not really too fond of anything from the 2000s. too much emo and marketing induced disney-pop crap, that has no talent or meaning or messages behind it, other than ' grow your hair out over one eye, be sad kill yourself and buy into our trends"

Music I enjoy in no particular order -

U2
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
Bob Seger
Aerosmith
The Doors
The Temptations (David Ruffin of the Classic 5 lineup also did some great solo work)
Jimmy Ruffin (David Ruffin's big brother)
The 4 Tops
ABBA
Van Halen
Jefferson Airplane
Marvin Gaye
Barry White
Jimi Hendrix
Steppenwolf
REM
KANSAS
AMERICA
Cheap Trick
John Mellencamp
Styx
The Lovin' Spoonful
Creedence Clear Water Revival
White Snake
Journey

And I've enjoyed my handful of one hit wonders or just one or 2 songs from singers I otherwise don't listen too much (like Baltimora's “Tarzan Boy”) and the occasional disco song (c'mon, it wasn't ALL bad).
