My biggest concern...

I do have to say that I'm definitely pumped about the recent developments. As a long-time comic fan it will be cool to see the boys in grey in comic form again.

One thing that concerns me that hasn't been addressed:

What makes the first film so incredible is the fact that all of the guys had the same type of sharp humor. Egon had the quick quips, Winston had the “every man” comments, Ray had the childlike wonder almost niave characteristic (“Never met him”), and Peter- well he was Bill Murray personified.

What detracted in RGB was that Peter was the only source of humor. Everyone took a backseat and, despite that the cartoon was geared toward a younger audience, the other guys never really had the punchlines.

I'm really hoping that 88MPH gets some great writers on board, and I'm not talking great comic book writers but writers that truly understand the tone and genre that made the first Ghostbusters film (which we've heard the comic will be greatly modeled after) so unique.

And on that note, are you taking applications?

Your concerns make a lot of sense, Netsolo. I'm sure all the characters will be sharp-witted. And I'd love to see you write for the comic.

I totally 100% agree with Netsolo. :s :d

We need more/new one-liners and cracks to contribute to the humor. EGB never had any of those. Which is one of the reasons why it failed.

Good Point Netsolo, comedy was what made GB a success…oh and the actors

I've said it before and i'll say it again:

Sebastian Clavet spent 6 months here asking us what we as Ghostheads want to see. Do you think he'd actually spend 6 months here making sure he was getting it right just to screw it up? I don't think so.

This is probably a little off topic but if somewhere they do not include the famous “Dinner” dialouge in the comic it'll be a crime. The one where Egon and Ray are talking about in GB2 what they want for Dinner.

“Thai?”
“No, too spicy.”
“Greek?”
“Pizza?”
And so forth.

bo- if you're gonna mention mr. clavet's first name, please at LEAST spell it right… sebastien.

i agree with netsolo, one of the things i like about the GB's is their personalities, especially egon's. in the first film, he's a VERY extreme dork. he's a total brainiac, but he has no common sense about most stuff outside science, ie-raquetball comment in the shooting script. PLEASE… NEVER make egon smile in this comic.

Personality goes a long way… if the characters mirror the mannorisms and traits that they had in the first film, their drawn counterparts will shine through just as the film characters did.
