Haha, that roof rack wouldnt be able to stand speeds above 50mph, it starts vibrating a lot due to it being strapped down by cargo straps, lol.

Yeah you must need it to be really strapped down for those kinds of speeds. On the highway where you’re traveling anywhere from 60 to 70 mph at times the wind drag must be bad, rip right off the car and smash the car behind if not made strong enough.

Trans-Continental Ecto Gumball Rally
Is that just a joke? If it is a joke I don't get it (*peter)

Actually, the more I think about it and the more people with replicas I talk to, an Ecto Gumball Rally sounds like it might actually be feasible. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't build their racks to last, or they build their replicas out of junker cars who wouldn't be able to make it across the country, let alone in a race

Let it be known that a high-speed Ecto IS possible. I have driven my car at 85 mph, into a 45 mph headwind on a section of I-25 in Wyoming.

WIND-RESISTANCE BE DAMNED! haha

Haha yep, youre right, I built mine to be temporary just for halloween. If I had another car that was a station wagon and was white, then it would be different, but oh well. The Ecto gumball rally is a good idea though lol.

im not a really big fan of the whole, turning your normal car into a ecto kinda thing, but it looks ok anyhow, as long as you like it and people like it then its fine.

I agree with this. When I first saw it, i thought it was all permanent stuff and I was thinking “wtf is he thinking doing that shit to an 06”. However, The craftsmanship on the rack is impressive
