I got my lovely message from Dan today while at work. It filled me with gleeeee.

This is basically why I won't pre-order a game at a store to pick up.


The last time I did it, was when I was a young lad and pre-ordered Ocarina of Time.

I went there the day it came out, I think it was like November, anyway….I went there in the late afternoon…the person said they were sold out. I freaked OUT. What the hell was the point of pre-ordering the game then? Then the guy checked in the back and he said “OH….we sold out of the pre-order special gold cartridges that you get for pre-ordering” I said I'd take the regular stupid gray cartridge, all I wanted was the game, made no difference to me.

The moron went back and came back out and discovered he had the special edition the entire time anyway…no one knows what they're doing at these places most of the time…I just don't trust it anymore, how often does a game sell out anyway? It's rare.

I preorder COD4 at Gamestop. Went there, nope sorry sold out. Went around the corner to Game Crazy and got a copy right then and there. Gamestop still owes me 5 bucks. That was the first screw.

In certain situations when a large amount of an item is pre-ordered after a store has made there order creating a situation where they do not have enough and what they get will almost always be FCFS…

85% of the time i went into a Gamestop, the employess were real idiots.

85% of the Gamestop employees where I live are hot Asian girls. Clearly, that manager knows how to pander to his clientele. Watching the geeky guys go gaga with my wife is hilarious. Free entertainment!

better get that $5 before they purge all their old preorders. i worked for gamestop for over 2 years and they definitely purge all old preorders at least once a year. the company is so crooked. its like free money to them and there's basically no way to trace it back unless you kept an original receipt. another thing about the company that doesn't make sense in my eyes is the fact that employees get to check out and take home brand new games. wouldn't that make it a used game when they bring it back? you would think, but no they stick it back out for sale as brand new. i never let my employees do this when i ran a store.

btw: im still working in the same mall and still good with the employees there so i get all the preorder bonus stuff without having to preorder the stuff
