SYNOPSIS(if the whole cast returns, yes even Bill Murray)
The Gbs are older, obviously. Although unlike in GB2, they will still be in business, just kind of slow, nothing really movie worthy for the past 16 years. Venkman and Dana got married, and he stuck with the GB for a little while, but with Oscar growing older, and business slow, (Venkman relying more on Dana's income, which is higher now that she obtained a chair one of the Big Five Orchestra) Now maybe Dana got a job w/ the Boston Pops, or they moved to the Hamptons, so Oscar could go to a nice, safer school, whatever, the point is they moved away from NYC, not too far, but far enough.
Anyway, my story revolves again, around Dana. The first movie coulkd just have been a strange supernatural coincidence that Ivo Shandor built his temple on what would become Dana's apartment. But after GB2, you can't deny that Dana has some sort of unique connection to the supernatural worlds of evil. So my idea is to elaborate on that theory. I don't know about you, but every great franchise has 3 movies, with an obvious exception. The reason for this is a need for closure. After 16 years, I need that closure, GB2 was left wide open for a third, and I'm sure if you're reading this you'd agree.
More on my GB3 idea, something messed up happens in the Venkman household, something that send Pete running, rather than Dana, which was the last two. Maybe Dana becomes posessed by the soul of satan, or something “of biblical proportions”. Iit needs to be a significant biblical figure, which is where GB seemed to be heading, and I liked that. This movie explains why Dana has a supernatural past.
There will be more emotional conflicts, especially with Pete. Like having to destroy the woman he loves in order to save the world from being “sucked into the seventh layer of Hell”. Also, Oscar will be older, we could take artistic liberties and make him a little older that he would be, and he could strap on a proton pack, but just once, at the climax. Where he and Pete are the only ones who can destroy whatever has posessed dana's body, even if it means killing her. But what i want to know, simply, is why Dana? She has to have significant level of power in regards to the supernatural world.
You guys give me your feedback and ideas, I like to think I'm a little more open to criticsm than some of the other people here, and who better to ask than a bunch of High Caliber GB nerds, like myself>
