Hey guys. My first post. As ray would say “This place is great” Anyhow, I wrote this and posted it up on The prop board, and most people seem to like it. Now, i did write this around the end of October, back when the GB game seemed like a pipe dream, and yes, from the info we got from the Gameinformer report, it does render some things moot, but, what ever, it was a fan treatment based on Dan Aykroyd's Hellbent Concept, so, i figured what the hell, take a shot at it.

Here Ya guys go. Let me know what you think.

GHOSTBUSTERS 3: HELLBENT
Treatment By Yourbigpalal83.
Based of Idea’s and Concept’s by Dan Aykroid and Harold Ramis.
October 30, 2007

its 20 years since Ghostbusters 2. Peter vankman has married Dana Barrett and became Oscars steep father and moved to Florida to retire. The remaining team stayed in business, with Louis Tully replacing peter, in till the year 2000 when surprisingly, all paranormal activity dropped below normal readings, and business seemed to dry up.

the film opens with Oscar barrette, now a college student trying desperately to get into egon's class. He's stolen a PKE Meter from Spengler, and along with his friend and roommate Nick Lopez, tracks the ghost from the library. They encounter it, much the same way as the old team did, and it gives chase, but this time, knocking over bookshelves and trashing up the place.

Cut to Oscar, the next day sneaking into egon’s class, with video and pke readings of the librarian ghost. they both come to the conclusion that somehow, the ghost has gotten stronger since there last encounter. They speak to ray and Winston, who now run a TV repair shop and underground electronics modification shop (Winston’s son Curtis is the one who unlocked the iphone) and ray and Winston both agree that somehow, the few missed ghost remaining in the city have grown in strength. Across the web, an increasing flow of paranormal reports appear, and it is decided that that the old team of Ghostbusters should train a new team as there replacements and restart the business. Of course, Nick, Oscar and Curtis are recruited, along with Janine and Louis’s daughter Amy, become the next generation Ghostbusters.

With the old team minus peter serving as mentors and backup, the new crop of Ghostbusters go about the city clearing it of increasing haunting. During one such outing, they make the discovery that these ghost aren’t steaming from some history with there location, (like, a murder, or some past history in that location that lead to the creation of a ghost) but, from another dimension. Using new readings, egon and crew discover that these ghost are coming from hell itself.

Egon constructs a dimensional gateway, using readings he gathered from atop spook central back in the 80's, and the new crop of Ghostbusters travel through the gateway into hell itself, looking for a way to reverse the flow of escaping ghost into our world.

Hell is a mirror, almost negative image of our own world. Upon infiltrating Luke Stiffer (Lucifer) tower, a lavish Donald trump like structure, the young Ghostbusters are captured. Egon, Ray and Winston strap on there proton packs and leap into hell itself in an attempt to rescue there younger colleagues, but are also trapped in hell, as stiffer uses egon’s gate way to send out his demonic army out into our world in an attempt to take it over.

With both teams of Ghostbusters trapped in hell, Lois and Janine, desperate for help, call peter up and he and Dana travel to new York to see the problem. Lois explains that Oscar is also trapped in hell with the rest of the team, and its learned now that Peter and Dana forbid Oscar from becoming a ghost buster, and that he became one behind there back and didn’t tell them.

Peter straps on his proton pack for what he thinks is going to be a one man rescue mission, when louis says he's going to need backup. Thinking that his backup is going to be just louis, he’s suppressed when he picks up the phone, and peter asks him “who are you going to call”

We see the other end of the phone call, a large man picks up the phone and answers “Ghostbusters” Another Ghostbusters group out of state. This starts off a Montague that shows Ghostbusters from across the country getting the call for help.

We cut to a shot of peter, Dana, Louis, and Janine, in a large parking lot near the firehouse, were numerous ecto mobiles show up. Out steep a small army of Ghostbusters from across the country. Lois Explains that he and egon sold the franchise rights when the old team retired at the turn of the century. (this is also a great opportunity to have some of the Ghostbusters fans who made fan films, and have celebrity cameo's, like Adam sander, Ben stiller, Vince Vaughn, etc appear)

Meanwhile, the city is in pure chaos. hoards of ghost stream out of hell, and reek havoc on the city. The military is called in to fight them off, but has no effect what so ever on the ghosts from hell. Slowly but surly, Manhattan begins to fall under Lucifer’s demonic army.

Its decided that even with most of the country's Ghostbusters called in, there is not enough Ghostbusters to both enter hell and rescue the team, and defend the city. Louis is put in charge of leading the army of Ghostbusters to defend the city, as peter plans to sneak’s into hell and rescue his friends and his steep son.

We see a wideshot of a small fleet of ecto mobiels drive over the brooklyn bridge into the heart of manhattan which is under attack. Lois and the rest open fire, defending numerous ghosts of all shapes and sizes, as peter slips into the gateway and enters hell.

He sneak’s his way into Lucifer's tower, were the ghostbusters are being held. While captured, Lucifer discovers that Oscar was once almost posessed by Vigo the carpathian and his mother was possessed by Zuel. Lucifer explains to Oscar the reason for this, is because the barrette family blood line was acutely founded by a fallen angel who willingly banished himself from heaven. becoming human, the angel started a family, who throughout history were known for there kind and good nature. Both Zuel and Vigo knew of this, and figured if they could possesses the inner light that members of the barrette family withheld in them, they could use it for there evil purposes.
(this would make for an inserting sub plot, explaining why members of the barrette family seemed to always become targets of evil ghost but could be dropped from the storyline all together and not affect the overall storyline) Lucifer figures, if he can possesses Oscar, there will be nothing to stop him on earth.

Peter manages to sneak’s into the main chambers were the ghostbusters are being held, and frees them, but egon and ray explane to him that Lucifer has taken oscar and plans on posessing him. (again, this can be changed but it makes for a more epic storyline)

Peter and the old and new gang retake there proton packs, and save oscar, and lucifer gives chase. They rush towards the gateway, and the younger members make it out safely, but the old team is left behind trying to keep lucifer in hell were he belongs and close the gate to hell once and for all.

We come to the final battle. The army of ghostbusters fighting off the army of ghost, while the old team stays behind in hell and uses there proton packs to rope off lucifer as he grows into a large demonic beast, and break his way through the gateway. In new york, the new team, led by oscar try to push back lucifer into hell, were he’s already halfway escaped through the gateway, as the other Ghostbusters manage to force back the army of ghost into the gateway.

Eventually, they manage to push back Lucifer, and the old Ghostbusters “sacrifice” themselves by closing the hell end of the gateway. In New York, the rest of the Ghostbusters manage to close there end of the gateway, and it sucks in most of the army of ghosts back into hell.

the film ends, with the new Ghostbusters morning the loss of the founding team, and returning to there states to mop up all the remaining ghosts that escaped from hell.

We see a final sequence were Oscar, nick, Amy and Curtis morn the loss of there mentors and fathers, with Dana, janine and louis conforting them. Janine picks up the phone and says they have a call, and the new team assembles, and drives out in the old ectomobiel, which has been restored.

Dana, louis and Janine smile as the new team leaves the firehouse, and we desolve to a shot of the old team in the depths of hell itself, surrounded by thousands of angry ghosts. Egon, ray, winston and peter look at one another, and smile, as they form a small circle, and turn on there proton packs for the last time, blasting there way through an army of ghosts. We show an overhead shot of there last stand in hell, the way they fight off the ghost forming the classic ghostbusters logo, and we role credits.

My favorite part is where you kill my boys.

Also, spell check.

All kidding aside, I did like the army of Ghostbusters.

I'm sorry, but I really hated this idea. It seems like a lot of it was stolen from Extreme Ghostbusters episodes (specifically the stolen PKE). And I hate the whole idea of the recruiting the kids because they can. The Ghostbusters were started as scientists, and even though they are hoping to open a franchise, you still need able bodied people. That, and the thought of a grown up Oscar aggravates me beyond belief.

It just doesn't hit me the right way, sorry.

In my opinion:

- Louis seems to be more of an important character than the original guys
- Spell check
- You can't kill off the guys. It's dramatic and everything, but you've forgotten what the series was all about: comedy.

Sorry, bro, it lacks lolz.

No dont be sorry guys. Now i know what the hardcore fans think of it. If you guys think its lacking, then its lacking. I get it. Dont feel bad. If i took it personaly, then id never make any progress

Just back to the drawing board.

Not bad, like the barrett connection and even oscar coming back to become a GB espec without peter and dana's approval, like a cocky rebel who thinks he knows it all but gets a shock by it! The idea of peter coming back, for me anyway, would be class if he were to make an unexpected return near the end to save the other guys or give them that extra back-up. If one were to be made id like it have that dark edge GB1 had towards the end whilst still having the comedy factor, not sure about lewis and janine having a son but still together would be cool. My 1st thought about a GB3 would be ray egon and winston to be the brains and a few newbies to do all the 'busting work. They get sucked into hell or go on a mission but get captured leaving the r,e & w to go help them, they get into trouble to which is where louis tracks down pete who comes back to the rescue! if bill isnt interested in a full film maybe a short cameo mite do it? especially if he “saves the day” as it where…..with oscar he could get involved in the capture, maybe somehow going into hell with the 3 by sneaking or getting “too close” and gettin dragged into it with them causing a bit of trouble on the way. Pete saves the day everyones safe!

That was pretty good,I did not really like the begining or Oscar being a ghosbuster but overall it was good.

I like the team of GBs coming from all over the country and the army of ghosts escaping through the hole, but like mentioned before I would not have killed off the original crew.

I have always liked the idea of a grown up Oscar (even have a version of my own whom legally changed his name to Bannon) but it does seem like more often than not in fan versions of the grown up Oscar seem to become a Ghostbuster.
