“We're the best, we're the beautiful, we're the only…ghostbusters!”
This is actualy just a beta demo. But I've got the basics down. The game is pretty simple. Hold down , to shoot a proton beam to snare the ghost. Once it's snared press . to throw the trap to catch it.(You can change the controls if you don't like ‘em.) Simple right? It’s designed to be a co-op game but I'm not 100% done with it so I'm just adding single mode. Alltogether there is 60 ghosts in the entire stage. I still need to do a lot more with this game. Here's the download link http://www.sharebigfile.com/file/154600/Ghostbusters-zip.html I'm tryin' to find some sound effects from the movie like the trap, proton beams etc. so if anyone's has any or knows where to get them I could use the help.

I've downloaded it but can't play it. All I get is a popup that I'm missing CNCS32.dll

It looks like NEW Ghostbusters 2 for Nintendo.

To fix the cncs32.dll error just copy it into the system32 folder, and the game should work just fine. And the reason why it looks like ghostbusters 2 for nes is because I'm using the graphics from that game. My game works a lot like the nes version.

That's a fun little game for a quick blast. I presume this is a WIP (work in progress)?

A couple of observations.

Allow the player to choose his Buster, much as I like Winston, I'd rather play as Peter or Ray. ANy chance of an options screen to select your Buster?

The player can actually run faster when moving diagonally against a wall/object.

The ghosts don't take enough energy away when they collide with you - it takes too long to die (I got bored after 14 ghosts). I also noticed that when you die, you can still hear the sound of the zapper&trapper when you press the appropriate key.

Vary the ghost types. Slimer is ace, but to be surrounded constantly by only Slimer is a shame.

The keys for zapping&trapping are not obvious (a strange choice if I may say) - at least make a title screen where they are displayed or a ReadMe where this is explained. I know the keys are mentioned here, but they should be with the game too.

Does the Games Factory not allow full-screen gaming? This deserves to be seen as big as possible.

Include the CNCS32.DLL with the game - it's not that big and it allows players to play instantly rather than searching the web for it. It doesn't need to go in the System32 folder, just leave it in the game folder and it works fine.

Some great work there so far though. Keep it up and look forward to seeing more

Yes, please put he .dll in there. That just irritates me when people do that, no offense. I found an install maker online in college and it was free. You could set it to copy you files and then insert the dll.

The game is a start, but I think it would be good if the ghost just didn't pop in and out so fast and such. Plus the suggestions from above are good. I got a loop where the trap just kept sounding off, and the game stuttered. Weird.

Here is the Install Creator: http://www.clickteam.com/eng/installcreator.php

I made this for you:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OINCNWF5

It installs the game, puts the dll in the windows\system folder and then has a menu for the icons in the programs menu. Also there is an uninstall program in there. It is really easy to do, use the Wizard to point to your directory of all your files. Then at the end, do NOT let it build. Go to the main interface and then go to the Files tab and on the dll file, then select it and over at the right on the Windows tab tell it to go to the System folder. Then all the stuff automatic for you. Keep building your stuff in the same folder and give us full installers. Also you can use your own icons.
