If you listen to the audio commentary I believe Ivan Reitman himself states that making the EPA a villain in the movie makes it very 80's. It's either in the scene where Peck makes his first visit, or the court order scene, but I'm pretty sure it's the first appearance. Also Venky do you know who Christopher Guest is?

No Rob Reiner directed Princess Bride, Christopher Guest was in it, another movie directed by Reiner with Christopher Guest is This is Spinal Tap, an improvised film, and then Christopher Guest and his pal Eugene Levy began making other improvised movies: Waiting For Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind. All Critical Successes and all improvised, and with rather weak plots, all the comedy comes from the characters, I thank you.

when i said do well i didn't mean critically. the general population will not care what the critics think. when i say well, i mean monetarily, as ghostbusters did. i dont think we're going to get to the bottom of this plot argument haha.

but ill admit i was wrong about some points. and ill also admit that you mistook many of the things i said.
and instead of fighting for how good your idea is, i hope you also work on and refine your idea so you actually have something to defend, unless you were just babbling on about the pointless topic of how much plot matters.

Really, wow you're good venky, you're real good. I didn't call you by any name, so once again you're wrong. Anyway you have you opinion on comedy, and I have mine, let's just let bygones be etc. Okay, pal. I believe in my ideas for a GB3 and can easily be strung into a watchable, bankable script. But hey that's just me, and where Mallory-Mike, wasn't I having this discussion her. She's a girl right? I just found that out. The whole Mike thing is confusing. She looks cute in her picture, so I hope she's a girl.
