My Proton pack project

This is my proton pack that I built with help from my dad. We used plans that we found on the internet. It is made from almost all recycled material except for a few reproduction parts that we bought. It has lights in the cyclotron and power cell. We still need to build the N-filter and particle thrower. We need help getting plans for the particle thrower showing exact
dimensions so far we could not find any detailed plans for it. We started is
last summer and finished on Oct 30 at 11:00pm just in time for Halloween.

What is an inexpensive way to get sound into the proton pack.
I allready have the startup sound and the paritcle thrower fire noise
from http://www.hprops.com/sounds/ I just need to know how to get
it into the pack?

The Radio Shack where I live has a recording device (fairly inexpensive, near $20) and you can record what you want into then play it back. I was thinking about picking one up to use for my pack. The only problem I can think of, is that it might not be very loud.

You can always add an external amplifier to what ever source you use to
store the sound in. The problem is you need to have many different sounds available. Will the Radio Shack Recording Module let you do that?
Otherwise you need multiple storage devices one for each sound.

How about letting us all know what this ‘recording device’ is so we may all benefit?

well if you wanted to be extravagant then you could always use the Hyperdyne Labs Proton Pack Sound Board…it's pretty decent from what i've heard and i've talked to a few people who've used them in their packs! Problem is even the Economy Sound Kit is $279.00 + shipping so it's really up to you!

when i eventually get round to building my pack i'll be scrimping and saving for this though, seems worth it!
