As much as I don't like you,

Tsk tsk Riddle, that's uncalled for.

I miss patton myself personally… but Kurth's pencils are solid, and we've pretty much only seen the covers and 3 interior pages.

Lets revisit this topic in February when the book is out and we're all not having Valentines Dates.

I like the regular covers! Really, I'm less a fan of the painted ones. The painted ones are nice, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure I like the way the guys look on them. Well, Winston anyways.

I really don't see what's wrong with the regular covers. Maybe that's just me being a jaded comic collector, and knowing better than to judge a book by it's (many) covers, however much a cliché it may be.

But personally, yeah, I like it when a comic's cover looks close to the art inside. That way, it's not misleading, and you get to see the main artist's vision for the cover, not some guy coming aboard for one issue and drawing a random pic.

I thought the reg covers looked a little sloppy. The intiriors didn't seem penciled that poorly though, so it might be at fault of the inker, we'll see..

As much as I don't like you, I agree 100%. I was slightly disappointed with the regular covers. But like you said, the interiors were simply awesome.

But I still wonder why the covers weren't as good, though?

I think it's a good idea to take into consideration that the covers were most likely drawn way before the interiors so maybe Steve didn't have a lot of practice drawing the GBs.

I love the regular covers. True, the second one seems a bit bland, but one must remember that it focuses on the antagonist rather than our heroes.

The variant covers are nothing to scoff at, but I really hope once “Legion” is finished, the variants will disappear for a while. I'd love to see them later on, but only for issues of some greater significance and the like.

Its nice to know others feel like me. I remember when I first said I wasn't terribly fond of the covers I got comments like “what's wrong withyou??” If I dont like it, I dont like it. And I'm not fond of these covers, and in all honesty I hated the painted ones.

Odds are you will prob. see a varient cover for issue 1. It seems as if most comics do that. After that who knows. I'll confess I'm not a fan of em.

I don't mind the painted covers TOO much, I just wish that legally they could paint the likeness of the actors, making them look better. To me the paintings boarder on really awesome pieces of art, and a rush job to get the covers done. I also don't like how they ultimately make Winston look like a black man with white man features; also, give him his damn mustache back! I personally think that Venkman looks like Lance Henricksen (sp?) aka/Bishop from Aliens/Alien3.

oh my gosh! you know I couldn't put my finger on it but I thought I recognized Winston…it's Bill Cosby. Meh both are sexy!

Cosby doesn't have a crew cut, nor does Winston. . that was the main feature of a white boy I was talking about. . .and that is a hilarious reference photo, I wonder who's copying who haha. . .

Actually, the winston looks more like BDP's design. So does Peter.

I don't care for either covers, and I think winston's nose is too small. I think the art they had on the poster they sell where I work (the 4 guys) looks so much better than this art. Not art wise but ghostbusters wise. Ghostbusters always seemed a bit cartoony
