I tried to dril 1/2" circles into mine and ruined it! So as far as trying to make the indentations I am clueless but I am warning you, don't try and drill with a drill bit threw it cause it will tear it to shreds and due to the pringles can being like paper it fray and rip off. Try a knife maybe. That could possibly work. I just used half inch note pad circular stick ons and it looks fine. However, my original plan(after cutting out the circles which didn't work) was to take a circular pipe cutter and cut out 1/8 inch long pieces of copper tubing (yes, it's small but it worked) I then glued them onto pieces of cardboard. From there I wanted to color them white but of course I frayed the n-filter and ditched the whole idea. SO I dunno if this helps or just sounds like a bunch of sentence fragments thrown into one post! smile

You may just try painting the circles white, without making them indented..

I thought about using a pringles can for the N-filter but I decided to go with PVC pipe instead. I'll be able to atleast make small indentions on the pipe without drilling all the way through it. I'm also working with thicker wood too.

PVC is by far the way to go but if you still want to stay with the Pringles can idea, for a few bucks, buy a package of small white circular price tags from an office supply store. I think you'll be happy with the results.

i used a half inch diamiter grinding bit for a dremal, and taped an exact-o blade to it with the blade pointing towards myself, then i drilled small holes for the center of the intentions, and fit the bit i made through the insde of the can, then attatched it to my rottery tool, turned it on, and slowly pulled out untill i cut through.

Yeah,

I'll just be throwing mine on a drill press. The holes are uneven anyway so it should be a piece of cake.
