How different are the paint applications? Can we see some detailed shots? and why did you choose that one? lol.

I've just received mine half an hour ago and the first thing I did was remove the scopes (someone had to take the risk smile).
It's not glued on but paint-glued, meaning the dried paint kinda acts like glue. When doing this you should make sure to rotate the scopes near the base, not at the end. You'll most likely break them when doing that. Some of the paint may chip but it's a standard red color and easy to touch up. You don't need any glue to put it back on. Just push it back on and it can now be rotated in any position you like.

That was real brave of you, I'm still caucious about giving it a go, but might pluck up the courage and give it a go later.

It looks much better with the scopes facing forward.

What about the ariels on the car, do you think they might be worth super gluing to the roof rack…? instead of just loose tucked under it.

No way I'm going to use superglue on this baby smile
But I'm going to try with this transparent very cheap kids glue kinda stuff. It's the same thing they've used to glue on the very tiny aerial front right. If it doesn't succeed it's easy removable.
Oh by the way, have you seen the pics of the first 1:18 version? It's awesome!!! click

That 1:18 scale version looks amazing, I can't wait for mine to ship.

It's a shame that the light do not light up like on my Knight Rider & BTTF cars.

Yeah it's indeed amazing how much detail there is on the 1:18 model.

Here's the finished job on the aerials.

Thanks for taking that plunge Nisei, I think I'll give it a go shortly.

And had you not posted it on GBFans, I would've done.

Edit: Wow, that was nerve-wracking… but worth it. The scopes will need a bit of glue, but otherwise, are now screen accurate. smile

That looks amazing now, any chance you can do some closer up shots of where the ariels meet the roof rack.

Nice work Kingpin! Surprised to hear you needed glue to put it back on. Mine fits very nice and can be rotated like it was meant to be that way.
