Also according to Play.com Hermes are delivering it, I hope they don't try and throw it over the back gate like they normally try and do.

It's good to see the 1:18 finally available, but most retailers are asking $160 + shipping for it, which my wallet can only say ouch to. Egon Spengler I was expecting a price more in the range of $100-120, and even that seemed pretty high. I better be really impressed with this thing once I get it into my hands if Hot Wheels ever expects me to buy another one of their products.

I think some original pre-orders were around $100 +shipping, but here in the UK it is double that price.

Dang, if I had any idea preorders would've given such a low price then I would've gotten one in a heartbeat. Looks like it's off to eBay for me, and just hope I get a decent price on one.

eBay is very expensive for the 1:18 at the moment due to it still not being released fully everywhere yet.

Having said that I see that BBTS still have it for $115 + shipping.

I paid $180 (£115) for mine though from a UK online store which is the cheapest over here.

Just won one on eBay for a grand total of $150.01, including shipping. It's too bad I had already bid by the time you mentioned the preorders still available, batman, but looking on the bright side, I should be receiving mine within a week! smile I've held off on buying any of Hot Wheel's Ecto-1 offerings till this 1:18, so it'll be nice to finally have one to display alongside the figures. The pictures of the 1:18 in the eBay auctions have looked promising, but I'll just be hoping once I get my hands on one that it lives up to the hefty price tag.

That's not that bad a price, it's $20 less than what I paid.

Mine arrived today, and it's f***ing awesome.

I'll try get a chance tomorrow to photograph it, along with the 1:43 model, the older diecast from a few years back, the Hotwheels mini and the original Johnny Lightning car for scale contrast.

The result is well worth the pricetag, and I will be buying the Ecto-1A if it's released in these scales. smile
