thanks batman2. It looks amazing. I know the Scopes turn, but does the Radome turn aswell?

Nope, that arrived snapped off on mine, I had to glue it back in place.

The scopes on the smaller 1:43 were locked in place, but luckily it was only by paint so with some gentle pressure you could move them.

Great pictures, batman, thanks. Looks like someone has been slipping miracle grow into the guys' lunches. wink

I bet the MiniMates would probably look better in scale with the Ecto-1, however I don't collect them.

Holy crap!
The difference is even bigger than I thought. Thanks for posting.

But I just notice now that the scopes aren't 2 separate tubes. I'm a bit disappointed by that, even more so because the Ertl version does have 2 seperate tubes. Also, they seem too short to me.

Just checked mine again, it looks like 2 seperate tubes, but they are joined down the middle. What's possible is you can cut down the middle to remove the excess material and it should still leave 2 seperate tubes.

I'm quite happy with it as it is though.

Also I never realised how long the scopes were.

God that thing is beautiful. My only complaint is the logo. A minor complaint, but I just can't overlook it…

I kinda overdid it with the Minimates line(bought almost every set)..when new GB merch hit,as they came along more often than the Mattel products. Anyway, here is a “display alternative” for the Minimates:
1) Playmobil makes an Emergency Vehicle (#4223) that is scaled for a little bigger figure,so there's room for the packs when they sit in it. On the Playmobil website.
2) To cover the “ambulance” markings, try this website: stickerfixer.com. They reproduce the GB logo stickers in different sizes.
I haven't tried this theory out yet, but it's on my New Year resolutions list.
Hope this helps.

I just got mine the other day, and I must say, I'm impressed. Hot Wheels did make it worth the high price. I'm especially glad that they gave it a nice shiny chrome finish and corrected the orientation of the no-ghost symbols so they weren't tilted too far. It's amazing the level of detail they even put into the engine; you can see the engine block and all the other little car parts in there.

For all the details Hot Wheels included, though, I'm surprised that they forgot to put in a rear-view mirror! I only noticed this because my 1:18 DeLorean time machine does have a rear-view mirror. And the funny thing about it in the DeLorean is that it's pointless in there when the entire rear window is blocked off by time-traveling equipment.

Now if only Mattel would give us a 1:1 scale proton pack replica, I could die happy! smile
