Hi all Ghostbusters fans

I work for the BBC in London and amongst other contestants, we are looking for Ghostbusters fans to come on the show and perform a movie-related challenge.

The show aims to display and celebrate people's unusual talents and skills and is particularly looking for people who have the ability to demonstrate their skills under the remit of a ‘challenge’. Some previous examples include a guy who could tell the artist and album of a CD by licking it with his tongue, someone who completed a Rubik's cube underwater with one hand, a JCB driver that was able to undress someone with the machine, and even a Smurf figurine collector who could identify the Smurf by their shadow alone.

The tone of the show is ‘pointless, but brilliant’ challenges.

We are looking for individuals or groups who are able to perform an incredible physical feat, who have a bonkers invention or have a really interesting skill, and we would like film fans to come up with challenges and the more creative the better too. With regards to Ghostbusters, the challenge could involve identifying monsters or characters, knowledge of the movies, maybe quoting lines. Or, does your knowledge and love of Ghostbusters help you out in everyday life? Solving problems or getting things done?

Please follow this link for more details on how to apply

OK, some of these are impressive, but the bolded one is literally impossible. I don't care what anyone says, different albums do not have distinctive tastes.

These are certainly well within the realm of what we're able to do.

Or, does your knowledge and love of Ghostbusters help you out in everyday life? Solving problems or getting things done?

There may be certain examples where the knowledge of things has helped on it's own, but the love of Ghostbusters has helped others in their everyday lives, as a number of people who dress up in costume do so to help raise funds for various charitable causes.

Just this January gone, during the New Year's Day Parade members of the U.K. Ghostbusters joined a group of costumers from other science fiction properties to raise money for Great Ormond Street. The year before, we raised money for a smaller charity called the David Statton Sick Children's Fund, which benefitted the Arbour Vale School.

I'll pass along your invitation to the U.K. Ghostbusters forum.

I've heard from one of my fellow U.K. Ghostheads that they've actually met the person in question, so there may be something to it that we're just not privvy to.

I can understand being suspicious. There have been shady characters lurking around this place in the past…like that Red Ketchup crook. But this isn't one of those times.

As far as I can tell he's legit. He signed up to the Ectozone board with a BBC email address, and when I Googled his name I confirmed that, yes, there's a BBC employee with his name and job description.

So no, I don't think it's a scam.

Lol…it's funny, isn't it, how you mix up typing the same idea two different ways and the mashup creates something that says the opposite of your intention?

Fixed.
