New Blog Post: "Didn't Quite Make It"

A larger demographic means a lot more people enjoy it means more profit.

However, it is not always about money. I think Sony knew about how popular Ghostbusters is and realized that they would profit more by opening the demographic. They make money regardless, but I think this is probably one of their smartest decisions.

But they are thinking ahead. This is step one. If this is successful we could have a third movie, we have new toys, new merchandise, and many more things that even we might not know.

Especially given how bad the 32x was, though from what I see, that rumor about Sony making TVG a PS3 exclusive was bogus, good thing as well since like I said before I deleted my comment, that would've been bad on their part.

yeah, I have it on a good source that there are two parts to Sony, the Sony that just wants to get their product out, regardless of platform and the PS3 “section” I forget their exact names at the moment, but yeah, when it comes to Ghostbusters the video game, the PS3 group had their mouths duct taped, their hands bound and thrown into a coloured ball pit so they would have something to play with.

just sayin'

Heck yeah! I was given a PS3 despite my relentless refusal to buy one. So now, It's been gathering dust beneath my living room TV's shelf. Man, it seems like it's an artifact that Indiana Jones would stumble upon…

Heh, usually when it comes to big business, most of the time its usually about the money. Like I mentioned, if Sony had even thought of making Ghostbusters a PS3 exclusive, it would've been a ginormous mistake, but luckily that was just a rumor and it didn't happen.

Usually yes, but sometimes it is not about that. It is rare, but if they cared more about the money then they did Ghostbusters itself, then they would have just made anything and stamped the GB logo on it.

Sometimes, art comes before money and any money made is merly used to pay off debts and used to produce better things for such events.

This is what I think they are doing with Ghostbusters and why they are taking every pre-caution to do it right this time after so many years of failure.

And if you can make a nice profit from it, hell every body wins.

One thing in the newest blog entry surprised me actually. That was the amount of time the game was in development before it was even revealed to be a Ghostbusters project and the lengths they went to keep it a secret.

I'm definitly quite glad, mainly cause the PS3 is the only console that I don't have an would've been majorly dissapointed if Sony had just made it a PS3 exclusive….though hopefully they don't go the route THQ does with its wrestling games and make some of the DLC (if there is any to begin with) PS3 exclusive as well.
