I figured that you people have a lot of ideas waiting in the wings of your minds, so LET THEM OUT!!! Here's my first contribution.

>The Ectoplasmic Repulsor
When Moto inhereted the Tyler franchise from his uncle, 90% of the equipment had been disassembled. While attempting to rebuild his first proton pack he accidentaly created a pack that fired a stream of electrons with a smaller stream of protons to keep the beam together. This weapon REPELS ghosts and other ectoplasmic entities, and does brute-force damage as well, like hitting them with a car.
Not realising the value of this, Moto set the defective pack aside and tried to make another proton pack, this time succeeding. The repulsor still sits on a shelf in the franchize's storage room.

and why exactly did you tell me to not take it apart for parts, aside from the fact that it'd likely blow up if I tried?

Perhaps, but then again there's alot that you don't tell your employees. Been wondering for the longest time what other possible uses for a proton pack were, eh, some things are better left not done considering things.

-_- considering that those things have to deal with tinkering with a backpack sized partical accelerator that could very well vaporize the wearer, the building that person's in, and…oh I dunno…a good chunk of the city they're in.

Prositively Charged, Cohesive Ion Projectil Launcher (PCCIPL for short, pronounced “peace-kiple”)

The venerable Proton Pack has very few shortcomings. One of these is it's very poor accuracy and low power at extream ranges. The PCCIPL attempts to allieviate this problem by giving franchizees a chance to reach out and touch anything they can see within 1.5 miles. Though unable to actualy contain a spectre, it has proven it'self able to at least harm or inconvenience them.

The PCCIPL looks like a bulky, high-tech bazooka and most are painted “ghostbuster gray” and have a 2x scope on the left-hand side for aiming. The ammunition for this weapon is in the form of cannisters of a highly toxic substance, which are loaded into a slot near the rear of the weapon. Each cannister holds six shots and costs $400.
When the trigger is pulled, the PCCIPL emits a loud, high-pitched whine for about a second, after which an orb of Positive Charge somthing-or-other streaks from the barrel and strikes something in a bright flash of light.

Firehouse FiftyFive

Firehouse FiftyFive is actualy a modified ship cargo container. It is owned by the main office (New York) and is used to house and support ‘busters that are working in areas far from civilization for extended periods. It is about 10 feet wide, 10 feet tall and 30 feet long, rectangulare and well protected from the elements by a tough, steel hull. It is always repainted to match where-ever it’s being sent to (dark greens for a forested area, tan for destert, white for a snow-feild, ect) but always has the Ghostbusters logo on the sideIt boasts these fetures:
>Sleeping accomodations for 6 (Cramped bunks, stacked 3 to a side at the end of the interior.)
>Diesil powered generator that will keep the electricity going for 36 hours before it runs out of fuel.
>No containment unit, but it has 2 racks that have slots in them that accept a standard trap. Traps in these slots will remain charged and functional for as long as the power is going, even when containing a ghost. Each rack has 10 slots.
>A small, but well stocked kitchenett, with food and water for 3 days.
>A small, but well stocked lab.
>Plenty of storage space.
>A PC, with satalite uplink capability and some usefull communications programs.
>The reasuring knowledge that the main office has sent you out to investigate god knows what, and they think it's dangerous/major enough to deploy this for. It costs a small fortune to deploy and retrieve Firehouse FiftyFive and almost as much to bring it supplies during longer stays in the wilds

Always thought of another fire house, a floating one so it can be in any area so the busters can keep things charged then land to send out the Ecto 1 or sumfin,then there might be a bigger one with sev. offices and 2-3 ecto 1's( they'll be Ecto1, Ecto 2, ect.) and they'll have some more busters so if there's one call and one group go out to it and another call so they send out another group…

>Ion plasma hybrid accelerator rifle (IPHAR)

The IPHAR is one of the GB's latest innovations, Developed by Andreus Kovalenko, also known as “ghosthunter X”, newcomer to the Ghostbuster corparation. In the old days of busting crossing the streams was the cardinal sin, but thanks to the IPHAR, crossing the streams is one of the ghostbusters best tactics. The IPHAR is around the size of an MP5 navy and due to its size it is very manuverable. NOt to mention it dose not require a proton pack. Also equiped with an infared sensor and laser sighting (it dosent do much but it looks cool).The IPHAR works very similar to a shot gun, you insert a plasma charge into the back socket to charge the rifle. Once you fire the gun channels the plasma ions into one concentrated blast which has 5x the power of a regular proton stream. If a ghost is hit it is immediatly discharges and is eliminated, all that would remain is ecto plasm (of course this depends on the class of specter). The one draw back to the IPHAR is it is only good for about 9 and a half shots, then a 9 hour cooling period is required. If you shoot more than that anything near by will be fried.

>Ecto Neutralizer
Aka the “ecoto swifer sweeper”
even thought the IPHAR “kills” the ghost eventually the ecto plasm will regain energy and form a new specter. The Ecto Neutralizer is much like a hand held ghost trap, it sucks up the remaining ecto plasm and it able to trasport it to the containment unit. in this form the ecto plasm will never regain its energy and it also requires less space in the containment unit.

> Rocket propelled Ecto Missile RPEM

In a nutshell this is a rocket propelled ecto bomb, although slightly modified. When fired the missile dose not explode untill its sensor detects and ecto entity with in 5cm (or about 7 inches).

the “Trap Pack”
used in the old Canadian Ghostbusters, a small containment unit is strapped to the users back, and it has a trap-gun for lack of a better term, used for better accuracy when trapping ghosts.
