Well, I started a thread over on the Atari forums about this because I wasn't finding anything on their website or forums about it. Here is the response that was posted by an Atari Mod:

Hey there,

We're working on a website now, which should have a ton of information on the game. The website should be up soon.

Keep an eye on Atari.com - once the game's website is launched, we'll definitely post an update there!

It looks interesting. Looks like there are a number of “re-used” locations from GB:TVG and a few familiar ghosts. But, it looks pretty fun. I'll be purchasing!

Oh, and I'm quiet fond of the Ecto-3. Maybe, they're in Miami?

The living train sure looks a lot like the trains from Knock, Knock. Awesome.

Good find. Nice to see some actual gameplay. I'm still not a fan of the top-down change, but some of the new ghosts look pretty good.

It looks like a direct sequel to the GB:TVG, same ghosts, same places… new rookies… I think the problem didn´t end defeating Shandor, uh?

Can´t wait for more info, pics and footage!!

Hmmm… I didn't see any trapping going on in those scenes. Is this going to be a dispersal-only wave of corporeal ghosts?

First review of actual playtime with the game is up: Link to IGN

What I find disappointing though:
Atari said developer Behaviour wanted a Castle Crashers-like pacing for the game, so most levels are just blasting the hell out of anything that gets in your way. When you get to end bosses – like the possessed subway train that attacks like a snake – you'll need to use your ghost traps. In my demo, I wailed on the bad guy, tossed the trap and then had to pull off a string of face button prompts to bag him. The faster I did the buttons, the more points I got.

So the main gameplay does scrap trapping. That's what I was afraid of.

That subway train ghost reminds me of Steelix from Pokemon. So awesome.

I'm excited for this game. While I love the story in GBTVG and wouldn't trade that experience for anything, having this as an extra offering is totally great. Focus on multiplayer is awesome.

I am not sure about this game. The game play I can look past, but the characters look….what's the word? I don't know, but seeing a Ghostbuster with a baseball cap reminds me of Ellis from Left 4 Dead which to me is a no, no.

I don't know. I want to give it a chance, but I have a sad feeling this is not going t be as good as we want it to be.

I'll give it a shot, but I hope they don't rehash everything because most of the footage seems to be just rehashing the previous Ghostbusters game

Hmmm. Me too. It's like the opposite of GBTVG where many of the bosses were not trappable. But there was a coherent spirit classification system in place… spirits were trapped and corporeals or possessed items were dispersed.

Well, I will give it a try, but taking the trapping out of Ghostbusting… it's almost like taking the time travel out of Back to the Future.

There are a million and a half shoot em up games out there already.
