New Ghostbusters Game coming next spring!

I doubt it is the same Oscar. Who'd want to play as a 2 or 3 year old kid in a ghostbusters game? We're not talking about playing Baby Ghostbusters here.

I point you in the general direction of a webcomic called Torchwood Babiez.:-)

For what it's worth, while there is no new information on the game, the official Sanctum of Slimer website has started the giveaways. Someone won a TRU GBII box set last week. I know I signed up for the newsletter (and thus the giveaways) when the site went live. If that was prize number one (something that is currently selling at retail for 65 bucks), I'm really interested to see what else they are going to give away!

So, any word of a release date? Hope this one goes well, could work to another multi platform Ghostbusters.
If that happens, I hope that they do the “new age” thing when it comes to sequels and go free range for it. Would love the appearance that the last one had with a GTA/Spider-Man ish engine.
Picture it, NYC at your finger tips, hop in the Ecto-1 and go where you want. Mission mode in car, Story mode at the fire house, it would RULE!!:-):-)
That's if it goes well, I can hope right ?

Looks good to me.

And is this really a “sequel” to the first game, or more of a side adventure? Actual game sequels usually are in the same format as the original.

That's up for debate. It is a sequel in the sense that the Rookie from the first game is back - so it must take place after the events of the first video game. It's not a sequel in the sense of the approach to game play is entirely different and it certainly doesn't seem to be developed as a direct sequel.

I know that I will buy this on the day it is released, but personally I will not consider it a sequel to the first video game. I'll just kind of take it for what it is - a throwback to the old arcade game.

That's what I was just about to say. Somehow, I think this'll be a lot more “fun” than the 2009 game, in that the top-down gameplay makes it easier to keep track of where your teammates are standing and where their beams are.
