Warner Brothers have finally greenlited the long-in-development hell project based on the popular 80's toon and toy franchise, Jon Stevenson who directed the excellent “Kung Fu Panda” is picked as director. He wants to make this version true to the original and new toons of He-Man as it discards Dolph Lundgren's attempt.

The film will come out in 2011, being a He-Man fan i can't wait to see how well it might do since “Transformers” was a very cool live-action toon movie perhaps the sequel and “G.I. Joe” might be nice too.

LOL Dolph Lundgren's attemp? He didn't write the film, he only starred in it. Anyway, no link? Because there is no mention of this on He-Man.org and they're very up to date with things. I know they've been planning the ideas for a few years now but they never actually confirmed anything.

There have been talks and rumors of a new live action movie being greenlit or in the works since the 2002 revival hit the air (I think it was 2002 wasn't it)

So until I see officially otherwise…I will take it as a grain of salt…

2000th Post!

Anyway, that's my take on this too. They said they are working on one, but no date is going to be confirmed just yet. They're still in the works of finding a studio as I hear it, so yeah, definitely not for a while. I do hope they finally get one made though, cause I am a He-Man fan too.

Dolph Lundgren is my kinda guy. He's a gem in the movie business. He can play Drago, The Punisher, He-Man…have his own crappy TBS (or was it TNT, USA) made for television movie. Come on, the man deserves an award. I don't know what award, but some award for something he's done….let me turn my sarcasm off now..

Probably. But not every aspect of that movie was horrible…I loved the menacing Skeletor…

Lundgren was ok as The Punisher but it wasn't really The Punisher for it was missing the skull on the shirt, now Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson were the real Punishers.

Ray Stevenson the real Punishers.

Please tell me you didn't actually enjoy that bit of utter rubbish.

Personally Punisher 1 & 2 the new ones kick the ace of the original 1989 Punisher for they were more true to the character.
