A little bit of new info from Ramis here:

http://hollywoodinsider.ew.com/2009/04/ghostbusters-ii.html

Key bits being:

But now there’s a new concept,“ Ramis says. ”And it’s interesting, beyond the kind of mythology of it, there’s a personal story that’s pretty grounded."

And yes, the original cast will return: Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, and even the elusive Bill Murray.

I'm sure the part about Moranis is just making an assumption, but hey we can hope right? Even though it is very little info about the story itself it sounds pretty cool.

Maybe instead of the flattop haircut, Egon's going to go the Einstein route…

After all, “that's all acting is: funny hair and props.”

Everybody said they'd do it
Maybe they had asked Moranis?

They work full-time on The Office, the script process is slow
Even if there was a great script by the end of the summer, it would be a year before . It’s a big movie. Lots of prep.
Doesn't sound like start of production this fall…

it could still go into production in terms of sets, setting the budget, all the technical stuff is still qualified as ‘in production/development’.

probably wont get SHOT untill next summer/spring probably. and then be ready by the summer after.

ofcourse this is all geuss work/wishful thinking. im going by the flow of of things at this point.

IMDB says 2012. Not that its a great source for info, but that makes sense.

“But IMDB said 2010 before! Ghostbusters 3 is supposed to be here in 2010 and it will rock!”

………………………

Sorry, couldn't resist a chance like that to make fun of Patrick.
