Here is something odd, yet strangely similar to GB3: It has been announced that director John Woo will revisit Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a fourth film. This news came to me through a website for upcoming films (did not see GB3). The plot of the new film has to do with the Turtles fighting somethign new and sinister. I believe there will be a new Shredder in the film as well.

I hope the John Woo bit is true!

I've heard it from an upcoming movie site as well. Seems to me there was a pilot for a new animated TMNT tv show (use to be able to d/l at the offical site) and Woo saw it and wanted to turn it into a movie, rough-draft pics are out there and they look pretty cool. Now that all the TMNT fans have grown up, the movie will be more darker, like the comics, yeah!

I agree with Slim Slimer, but in addition to the ThunderCats, let's just bring in Voltron as well. But in all seriousness, I couldn't give a damn about another TMNT film. Not because I have a slight problem with that franchise, I just remember how it was on its last legs.

1. Turtles 3 - what a waste of time & money.
2. The last few season of the cartoon itself.
3. That chessy live action series on FOX, with that female turtle. Which raised alot of question if you ask me.

I work at a theatre, and I read the film release schedules every day.

The starter of this post is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. TMNT 4 has been green lighted and has already entered pre-production stages right now. I was surprised, myself. On other subjects, it's expected to be mostly a CG movie.

There, that's the word of a THEATRE WORKER.

P.S.: Sorry, I still haven't seen a GB3 listed even on the “awaiting the green light” list.

Hmmm… Well Vince, as I said, my news came to me through a website. I wonder how a theater worker gets the news ahead of time?

To answer your question, we get the “Review” magazine that lists all film companies and their scheduled releases, as well as the list of movies that are “waiting to be greenlighted.”

The reason we get the info before anyone else is because we have to BID to get the movies at our theatre. Each print of a movie costs in the upwards of $10,000 a pop!!! That means if I ruin a print of a movie through a “brainwrap burnout”, or the film getting eaten by the projector, that's $10.000 on MY head.

We also view the films before they hit the public. It only makes sense that theatre workers get this info ahead of time.

Gotta go, our theatre's showing GHOSTBUSTERS tonight, and I have to do promotions!!!
