Sorry but… I don't get the “Take it to the bridge” joke… Can someone explain?

I thought he said “Take it to the fridge.” Which means “let's keep things cool” or “let's make things cool.”

You all know what cool means.

I heard the term “Take it to the bridge,” but I have heard this term used in a vulgar manor referring to umm…..well…the place in between your legs that starts with a “T”.

I am pretty sure Winston said Fridge.

So the rookie can dash, doge, kick doors down but not quick turn?

He suffers from severe vertigo.

I think he might have said bridge. It sounded to me that bridge was said by both Winston and Ray. I also don't think it's a coincidence that they showed a bridge either.

Maybe he said Fridge, and it was misheard as Bridge since they were at a bridge….and thats the joke

Guys, “take it to the bridge” is a relatively famous saying most commonly used by James Brown. it's just an exclamation within a song when James wanted it to go from the verse to the bridge.

So winston's making a funny and ray's picking up on it.

It is DEFINITELY bridge.

It is an oddity that Winston would say this in this context because well….a bridge is the middle of a song. Which is how James Brown used it.

I….really don't get it.

I mean I get, but I don't get it.

If it is “Take it to the bridge” it is a weird saying at a time like that. And no they were not on a bridge. Looks like they were in a museum room of a some kind of Mayan temple. But this also maybe why Ray questioned it. Like saying “Why say that here?”

*listens to the movie again*

Yeah he definitely says “bridge.” It is hard to hear but you can definitely hear the hard “ba” sound.

It's a weird context in the way he used it, but I guess it works. It's funny how Ray is confused by it.
