Not what I meant, guys. I still equate Ghostbusters with the family/children crowd. I had a wonderful experience in january where kids I'd never seen before wanted pics and they ALL hugged me before they left. Oh, and the parents were overjoyed as well. Also, I had a friend that went to a bar once wearing a screen-accurate Boba Fett. He didn't win…the winner was some drunken bum with a sheet over his head, holes cut in it. He won as Charlie Brown @ Halloween! So explains my trepidation of bars and costume contests-but you guys are supportive and actively helping bolster my confidence.

1st you are right to want to keep Ghostbusters with the family and children crowd. As Kingpin mentioned, bars are basically war zones for packs. I'd stick to the local community costume contests at Halloween events. The biggest problem with bar contests is that some hot chick in a costume that is barely there or a guy in somekind of perverted costume will always beat everything else, especially when the audience picks. I know from experience. I have won at bars and won big, but they were dead with very little competition. You'd have to look for a hole in the wall place like that.
