Plus, lookit all that detail, man! how could they make the old, wall-mounted ECU look that cool?
I whole heartedly agree, as cool as the old unit was, it's been well documented that the old unit was getting crowded, and that was only during the first few weeks, granted, that the guys were busier then usual, but they knew unless something happened, to paraprase a certain JAWS character:
We're gonna need a bigger Containment Unit
I especially love how it's been achieved, Steve has taken the film and cartoon ECU's and sucessfully blended them together, in addition adding the red and green lights which I must admit, should've been on the RGB one. There's also a style about it which says it was designed by a genius, but built on a tight budget, I look forward to seeing more of it and other things.
I love how the Firehouse has been portrayed, it's excatly how I'd imagine it, and I've been there, it even has the red lights on either side of the engine doors (Which make sense if you think about it), and the detail down to the AC units on the windows is incredible.
The charater designs rock…and dare I say it, rock more then BDP's ones, not saying his weren't cool, his designs were super cool. I also like that Egon's glasses are round now, another small RGB influence?
I love the style that New York is presented in, it almost has a sorta Film Noir-ish quality to it, can't wait to see the finished skyline shots. I hope we'll be seeing Times Square and 550 Central park West.
I can't wait to see the Ecto-1, darn it, December may be two weeks away…but I can't wait! :@
If it's as good as the rest of the stuff I've seen…well…you'll have a comic of biblical proportions of coolness.
Is it just me, or do I detect a hint of slightly varying designs of the ‘packs on that cover art? If so, that’s cool.
Also, I know this would usually by in the Q&A topic, but will the renovation and reconstruction of the Firehouse be shown. And did those blueprints I made help out?
:-)
Anyway, congrats Sebastien and crew, I think you're onto a winner. It's now up to us to make that sales target to justify a continued series.
Heh, I'd by all three varient issues if I can afford it…hoo boy, my bank account's gonna get drained. (^_^)
